Parsons House Preston Hollow

Overall, a very professional organization with good service and care. Downside; food, as usual, very bland. [name removed] hates the food and is disappointed in lack of responsiveness for anything out of the ordinary. I would recommend Parsons House Preston Hollow to others.

Parsons House has a very sweet and light feeling to it. Other places we looked into felt heavier, a little depressing. The staff maintain a generally cheerful way of caring for the residents and I’ve felt nothing but trust and relief that my brother is there.

We have had a great experience with Parson House Preston Hollow in the care given to our Mother/Mother-in-law who has been a resident there for slightly over one year. Our priority has been the care and safety of our mother. The care staff is competent, caring and responsive and do what they can to make all feel like family. The leadership team communicates regularly with resident families through a Family Council, frequent email communication, and ad hoc one on one meetings. They listen and, if appropriate, they act. In addition to regularly scheduled activities for the residents, they host a monthly dinner or buffet for resident’s and families. It is an entertaining and fun opportunity to be with other resident families. Parsons House is a care focused facility with a family feel that has worked wonderfully well for our Mother. Special thanks to the Executive Director, Marketing Director and the entire Parsons House team.

I’ve had my loved one in Parsons House Preston Hollow for a year now, and things have only gotten better and better during his stay. I think that a great experience originates from the management, and Parsons House has a terrific executive director. She sets a tone and example of family, of kindness, and of quality that you can feel throughout the entire staff. Is any place perfect? No. But Parsons House really puts itself out there as a facility that is actively striving and succeeding at being the best it can possibly be. Through great management they are constantly working to improve, and to never to rest on their laurels. Staff is friendly, competent, loving, with kind and helpful attitudes. They truly care about the residents. And the size of Parsons House is perfect – it allows a flexibility that quickly solves problems without the red tape that can accompany larger facilities. I can’t imagine ever finding a better place to have my loved one, and I highly recommend Parsons House.

My loved one is a resident at Parsons House Preston Hollow. The social environment is positive and the staff is friendly and supportive, but they depend heavily on the Aides which can be short staffed. If a resident needs added attention or greater needs, it may be frustrating. They have regular social events that are nice for the residents. They invite family members and really make it special. The size and proximity of the activities and the dining area was a positive. A first floor apartment is a bonus. Communication and coordination of medical visits, medicine, and responsiveness was lacking. Very much driven by family. They use a 3rd party physician group and it's difficult to get timely answers with their message service, as well.

This has been a very positive experience for us and our loved one. I have recommend the community to others and will continue to do so. The staff is very friendly and available when we have questions. There is always something to participate in, if the residents would like to. My loved one had a medical condition last week and the staff were right on top of it responding to it, and to assist with getting it resolved quickly. The food is very good here.

I thought it was nice, at first but when I got there to tour, it was very noticeable [name removed] is discriminating. In my opinion, I would not allow him in care of anyone there. I no longer support them. DO LOOK AT THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS AND SEE.

We picked this facility because, it was smaller community, they offered more one on one care, and it was close to home. They are a little short staffed on the weekends, and sometimes with the nursing staff. They are attentive from management, on down to other staff.
