Oakmont Manor

Great housekeeping staff! They seem to like the guests and they show it. Overall it has been a very good experience and I highly recommend Oakmont Manor.

My Father tended to be a challenge for the management at Oakmont. Original placement was in independent living they suggested moving him to enhanced living, which we did. He lasted there several months and they threatened explosion if certain issues were not addressed and a solution provided. I moved him to an [community removed] facility where he lived successfully for about a year with minimal care and assistance. After which it was recommended he be moved to memory care, and is now in hospice. Oakmont is fine for anyone who doesn't need assistance during the aging process.

Overall Oakmont stood out from the rest. From the friendly staff and residents, to the apartment layouts and the cost.

Extremely clean. Staff and people there very friendly. Great pt on site, mom loves the food and great selection. Activities are good, only thing is they have cancelled several of the trips out,, so that is a bit disappointing but still lots to do there. Apartments are a perfect size for my mom. I would highly recommend

Being in the industry, you see many different things throughout the communities. Oakmont Manor is a beautiful, clean, friendly, active and peaceful community; so much so that 2 of my relatives have moved here! I highly recommend this community for Independent Living!

Very clean, friendly community that has everything you need in one location. Highly recommend to everyone. My mom and mother in law love living here. Activities offered daily, excellent meals and transportation if needed.

My only issue is medical transportation is only available three days a week so I have to schedule medical appointments around those days. The activities are wonderful. Kroger every Wednesday. Meijer, Target, Walmart, Gabe's, Kohl's once a month. Exercise classes four times a week. Movies in the theater twice a week. Pinochle, Euchre, bingo several times a week. Casino trips once a month. Happy hour with entertainment once a week. Also went to the Detroit Zoo last Wednesday. Last year we went to Belle Isle for the day and also Eastern Market. Also have lunch and dinner outings once a month. Also other kinds of games. Lots of things to do.

We picked this community, because it was closest to my sister-in-law. My loved one is extremely happy here. They have friendly staff. I would absolutely recommend to other families.

My mom says she feels like she is on vacation living here. The only thing I would say they could make it better is if they could get someone to either come in and do a Catholic mass on the weekend or take the people out who would like to go.

We picked this community because it seemed to check off everything that we needed, inclusing prices, the environment, and location was perfect. The advising from staffing, to get everything set-up went well. Overall, we are very pleased.

This is a nice community that we were able to tour. The staff was nice and the community was nice. We did not want a community on the second level. They informed us that he would not be included in the activities unless a family member was available to take him to participate with the other residents. We would suggest that family consider a tour for this community.

Love everything about it. My mom loves living here.

I just moved my mother into Oakmont, which is just a mile from my house, and two miles from my brother. Not only is it close, but it has large rooms, and everyone there is very nice, both staff and residents. They are also all inclusive.

We found Oakmont Manor in Sterling Heights to be a wonderful place for our mom to live. There is always some one there if needed rather it be the friendly staff or another resident. With the monthly schedule there is always something to do. Oakmont is like its own little town within the building. We love it inside and out.

It seemed to be the best community for our situation and really just the best fit. My loved ones like it and enjoy being here. I really liked the openness of the community and all the open common areas. Just seems like there is enough room for the residents to move around with our feeling cramped.

excellent presentation. the director was warm and made me feel that i was a part of the oakmont manor family. beautiful and well maintained building and grounds. distance would be my only block.
