I think the staff needs to be more involved and the food needs to be more consistent. Sometimes it's good and fresh but many times it is cold or not fully cooked. Th cost seems to be in line with others in the area. All in all it is fair too good.... Read more
Morada Albuquerque proudly offers a safe and comfortable assisted living and memory care community for the seniors of New Mexico. Situated in the high desert, Albuquerque is a vibrant city filled with historic and colorful adobe buildings, several cultural centers and museums celebrating the area’s tribal history, and local shops selling Native American handicrafts. It’s best known for its annual International Balloon Fiesta, which takes place during early October.
The Morada Albuquerque is just as lively and colorful as the surrounding city. In their sensational dining area, residents can enjoy gourmet meals with restaurant-style service. The community’s executive chefs prepare made from scratch meals which feature international cuisines and local favorites. If needed, these delicious meals can be modified to suit dietary restrictions and preferences.
Residents are encouraged to connect with each other in the community’s inviting common areas including a fishing pond, putting green, tiki bar, and pet park. Their Celebrations activities program is led by a full-time activities director who plans events like game nights, Sunday brunch outings, movie marathons, and so much more. There’s always something to take part in at Morada Albuquerque!

My mom toured in person herself and decided this was the place that she wanted to live. The staff at Morada Albuquerque have been very easy to work with. My mom has been very happy there and I trust them long term. I would definitely recommend this facility to other families looking for care for their loved ones.

I would recommend Morada to anyone wanting a residence. With the tour experience, all questions were easily answered; time was allotted so I didn't feel rushed. I did not feel pushed into a decision-- no 'high pressure sales. It was very positive.

I think we dealt with a change in management and things seem to be getting better. Staff has been more responsive. The head nurse that I dealt with a couple of months back was rude and abrasive. Once I started dealing with his assistant things improved. They do little to accommodate for my mothers hearing loss. That's frustrating and medication management has seemed erratic. [name removed] has been responsive in helping get things accomplished.

This community is a safe alternative to living in your own home. The room sizes are good, I really like the layout of the rooms too, they have their own private bathroom as well.

My husband and I visited Morada Albuquerque looking for a place for our loved one with memory care issues. The facility was nice but seemed maybe too large for her as she likes smaller groups of people than being in large scale enviroment.
Our family had an in person tour and this was the first community we had looked at and we really did like it. The people were ll very nice, the director was very nice and gave us a good tour. However it was just very big in terms of the layout and we thought it would be confusing for our loved one
Make sure you stay on top of things and anything goes wrong make sure you report it right away. A few of the people at the front desk that are nice, others are pretty rude. We had a hard time trying to get her medicine taken care. Things have improved with her medications currently. This location has 3 floors. Housekeeping comes once a week. They offer some transportation with a 24-48 hour notice. They allow pets.

Morada Albuquerque is a nice place. For the most part the staff is very friendly and the facility is kept pretty clean. When it comes to communication between the different staff members and with the residents there are some huge opportunities however. There have been consistent service issues throughout the time at Morada Albuquerque. Prescription management is one area where we have not been happy with outcomes. Turnover of staff appears to be driving a lot of the issues we are experiencing. The level of care that we are paying for does not match the level of care that my mother is receiving. In fact, it does appear that we are being charged for a higher level of care than her most recent evaluation had called for. Hopefully this will be rectified on future bills. In my opinion an Assisted Living Community should help alleviate stress that a family is going through when dealing with the aging of a loved one, not add to it. Morada Albuquerque could improve in this area.

Without any notice, they raised my mothers rate $1000 and refused to return any phone calls to explain. They are nice when you want to move in but ignore you after. Also, the food is bad. Look elsewhere.

We like that this community has a broad range of capabilities and activities for the residents. The community has a very nice appearance. The meal plans are very friendly to the residents living there. It is a very flexible place, they have a library, exercise rooms, they get to place games and listen to music. It is also well priced.

This is a good community and they really take care of the residents. I think they are short staffed just like everyone else but they do their best to communicate and work with the residents and make sure they stay in open communication with the family.

This community may seem expensive but for everything that is provided it is worth it. The staff members and their care services have been wonderful. The meals there for the residents are fantastic. We like how they have a larger living area for our loved one, it is close to home and the staff are just always willing to answer any questions and concerns we have.

Check out their website! Who is on their leadership team? ONE person — the director of celebrations...! Really? We are in a pandemic! How about a wellness director and oh, I don‘t know, maybe someone in charge? Like where the buck stops when things go wrong and the state long term care ombusdman has to shut the place down. Will the director of celebrations be the one going to prison? This place was good until Morada Morons took over and now it is DREADFUL. And they just raised the rent. For what? Unless you actively wish your senior loved one harm, stay away from this Loser Shack.

The lady we initially we were working with was outstanding and very attentive. Anytime we had questions or concerns she was very helpful which we thought was a great indicator, and we would highly recommend this community to other families.

Our family had an in person tour and we were completely turned off, the rooms almost looked like jail sales. It is run down, the carpet needed to be changed out, the colors and furniture were so dull. Just depressing..
Caution stay away do not go here.

I was able to do a virtual tour with this community and it was very nice., they took us throughout the entire facility. We decided to go with another community because that community had a credit dementia practitioner and we thought they would be better for our loved one.

A Place for Mom has scored Morada Albuquerque 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
