Brookdale Tramway Ridge

While the floor staff were amazing, the rest of the facility is not. My parents were there for a little over a month and a half, during that time the water either didn’t work or barely trickled. The residents were unable to bathe and staff would sometimes bring water to the rooms so toilets could maybe be flushed once a day, if they were lucky. Some times it would be several days before a toilet could be flushed. During those times there was no way for the residents to wash their hands. Also, they moved in during the summer and we found the air conditioning in their room did not work. It took several weeks before they had a working air conditioner in their room. Most days the room would be in the high 80s and was unbearable. It also took several weeks to get the cable working in their room. All this was despite us making multiple calls and requests to get things fixed. I would never recommend placing anyone in this place.

Well it really was quite an awful experience. Although it only lasted a month I would never refer anybody to this place. Supposably they hired more people and changed some rules after we left but there are no activities., there are not enough employees, you can never find anyone to talk to or your loved one for that matter half the time, they keep the doors locked to their rooms which is troublesome to me. I felt they allowed the residents to have too much freedom about the time they get up and the time they go to bed. When you arrive you have to ring a doorbell sometimes waiting 10 minutes to be let in. One day there was poop all over the toilet and when I came back later that day it was still there. HEM took her bed a day early and the staff didn't tell them no so she had to sleep in a chair. Now the positive note I have to say the people that were working were very nice and helpful. They tried their best with the limited amount of people they had which were usually about two to three employees per 30 residents

The caregivers are great. Not enough activities. TV is not enough. We picked this community because of their activity schedule and location.

Families need to be be present and interactive. Observation keeps staff honest. Most staff is good but like everywhere you have staff that shouldn't be in the field. If the families speak up consistently, then the staff and facility is forced to respond and take action. As far as activities go - More outside interaction such as music, visits from groups would be nice. Not much is done to stimulate the residents.

Short staffed. Director is not responsive to questions or problems.

[name removed] is making friends and enjoying living there. We have liked working with the caring staff. We also like the beautiful location and proximity to [name removed]medical services, shopping, and even hiking!

My loved one was previously a resident at Brookdale Tramway Ridge and the overall experience was good. The friendliness was great. The staff and care services were good. Based on our experience, I would recommend Brookdale Tramway Ridge to others.

We really like it the room, it is just the right size. The food is really good and the staff is premium. The only problem we had was with her next door neighbor who has the type of dementia that makes her paranoid and aggressive we have to really blunt with her to keep her from imposing on our time with Mom.

It's tolerable at times. Reason for picking them is because they sold me a lie.

I had a bad experience with the business aspect. Also, they were unfair in the management of the radio in the dining hall.

There is no outdoors place where residents can go. Do not have a barber that comes in to give hair cuts. (Not free hair cuts but those we could pay for) I don't know anything about the activities as I am not in Albuquerque. I picked this community over others because I knew my loved one would only be there a month two at the most. It was convient at the time I was looking and it is hard to make decisions over long distance. The ones I delt with were very friendly and helpful. I did not like the idea that my cousin got out of the facility after only being in 2 days and when I called to let yall know he was out no one at the facility knew about it so no I dont guess I would recommend Brookdale to anyone based on my experience.s

My loved one was previously a resident at Brookdale Tramway Ridge and overall everything was very good for her at this facility. The cleanliness, friendliness and staff were great, generally speaking.

Living at Brookdale for two years has been a very good experience. I feel cared for in this atmosphere. Top of the best and feel safe and well cared for. My friends have told me I have been lucky to be at Broodkale

Good, friendly. Food is good. menu not trustworthy. Pecan pie to peach pie. Service ? sometimes

My father died within a month of being at Brookdale. They were not transparent about the manner in which he died. They sent us an outrageous bill, which did not give us the deal they had initially promised us, and they also charged us for the time after he died. They were terribly understaffed. We never once saw them doing any activities with the residents. They just put people in their wheelchairs in the main room and left them to sit there. Overall it was a terrible experience.

It's a great facility with a wonderful, competent, efficient, and caring staff. Dad's currently in the hospital, and while I'm there with him, they are hands on presently assisting my daughter to relocate him from their Assisted Living area to their Memory Care unit so his return can be as seamless as possible. I'm grateful to have found such a wonderful place for him!

Be careful when dealing with corporate! Still getting bills from them. Mom had never even stayed there! Tramway Ridge are awesome, but the main office-not so much!

For the most part things went well. At times it was difficult to get hold of the upper staff or office staff for assistance. The staff that took care of my mom daily were very friendly and helpful. The food was good and there were activities for my mom to attend.
