If I could give zero stars I would. If you want your family member to deteriorate slowly. This is for their long term care. They have no compassion for the patients, they do not care about them or care for them. from aides all the way up to the directors of each department. They have no heart, no compassion, no empathy, leave patients uncared for for hours, no one around when you need them. front desk at times can be empty for over an hour. If you do not advocate for your family member they will not either. And when you do advocate they do not listen or believe you. they do not take notes of incidents and put it in the record, so unless someone tells you or you witnessed it yourself it would not be recorded. No one is ever accountable for the things they do or not do. Simply dismissed and told if you do not like it here leave, take them elsewhere. The rooms are still like the 1960's. They do not work as a team. not my job is common phrase and they lie constantly!

No data collected
do not put your loved one here. I had both parents in the home at different times. My dad had a stroke and within 4 months he passed. They starved him to death. open a milk or shake and walk away when he was supposed to be fed by a nurse. my mom was in for her back went to rehab BUT They don't care about giving the medicine timely. Numerous times I went to the nurse desk for her . after 2 hours they came in and gave pain meds. It was the wrong medicine. AND THIS HAPPENED TO BOTH PARENTS ON DIFFERENT DAYS. SO IT DIDNT HAPPEN ONCE , VERY VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. STY AWAY.

I have had experiences with a lot of places. I think the physical therapy here is phenomenal. It is really helping my brother. I just got a good feel for the place.

The people are very nice, but at times under staffed. My loved one sat in the bathroom a long time before someone could help him. OT and PT are good and we are very pleased with that.

Everything is good, except the food. It seems like a nice enough place and it's close to my loved one's home.

They need to communicate with the family better about the patient's progress.

They're very caring with my mother. Anything she needs they get her right away. Any food she doesn't like or can't eat they'll make her something else. The place is really nice and clean. She even got her hair done there. Compared to the other rehab my mother was in, Luxor at Sayville is night and day better.

I would give Luxor Nursing and Rehabilitation at Sayville a six out of five. They care, it's clean, and it's as normal as a place could be under these circumstances.
