They are very caring in the community. Since they opened right before the pandemic, they are not as organized as they need to be. In the assisted living area of the community, they are not full yet. They don't have the activities for the residents that they should have due to limited staff. The communication is initiated by the family. You can tell the staff are friendly, caring, loving, and want to help and I greatly appreciate this. The meals are small, but it is enough for the residents. Regarding the assisted living area. Two important things for everyone is food and recreation. Las Brisas is lacking in both. I feel that it is important to have a consistent schedule. Many elderly have memory problems so for them consistency is important. They need a schedule for all activities and they need the activities to be at a consistent time. My dad complains that meal time is very unreliable. They do not consistently get a calendar with scheduled events and the activities are not on a consistent schedule. My dad also complains about the food. He complains that he does not get enough to eat, the food is not very good and that he does not get any choices about what to eat.

We moved my parents into Las Brisas in January 2021. My dad was bedridden and mom is suffering from dementia. The care they have been shown has been far and above our expectations. My father died this past Sunday, December 5, at the age of 87 having been married to Mom for 68 years. The staff swooped in and cared for my mother in a personal, loving way. Different staff members are checking on her at all times of the day, encouraging her and loving on her. They’ve even been able to get her out of the room to participate with other residents. If you’re looking for a caring place, look no further. Go see for yourself! There’s lots of good being done at Las Brisas. The people there are angels.

During the pandemic, my mother, who suffers from IPF, needed better attention than what my spouse and I could administer. We virtually toured no less than 13 assisted living facilities through a place for mom. We found this at the very last and its wonderful and perfect.

Our loved one has not given us much feedback over the meals they are serving, but from what she has given us she seems pretty happy. From our understanding the activities are still pretty limited, but we do think the value for cost is good. We are getting a lot for our money.
