My overall best and positive experience has been with "A Place for Mom". Simply the professionalism and efficiency to help things go smoothly. Kingston Bay was a very good experience for the most part. Leah and Mariah were caring and eager to work with you. But I have discovered that the nursing staff has failed to meet expectations. I felt that he was not on top of my mom's health needs. That was disconcerting at times. Also felt that some things fell through the cracks regarding physical therapy. Connection with doctors and nurse seemed vague. An unprofessional staff decision was made to block a family member from seeing my mom. All that to say is that my mom has been a hand full and made it quite stressful for everyone.... Read more

They just have too many staffing changes. New people that are not qualified and do not like their job. There are a several high quality caring staff but the lesser bring the community down as a whole.

My sister moved into Kingston Bay two months ago. She is enjoying meeting new people and making friends. Kingston Bay provides many opportunities to get together with neighbors and share new experiences. They have provided a safe place for my aging sister. Staff has a wonderful repor with residents and always greets visitors with a smile. They assisted with the logistics of moving in. Staff is always friendly and helpful.

March 15, 2024Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! We will share this with our team. Thanks again!
I think the staff could try to encourage the tenants to get more involved with activities & going to the restaurant for meals rather than just delivering meals to them. (Sometimes food is cold) I picked it because [name removed] was very convincing in her presentation, it's beautiful, clean & reasonable priced.

January 30, 2024Thank you for your thoughtful review of Kingston Bay. We're so glad to hear you are happy with the building's cleanliness and price. We will pass along your feedback to both our Life Enrichment and Culinary teams regarding activities and meals. Thank you!
I couldn’t be more pleased with how the staff at Kingston Bay has rolled the red carpet out in getting my mom placed. They went over and above of making sure she would be comfortable and happy in her new home. My mother can’t believe how friendly the staff is and that everyone knows her name. I would not put my mom in a place where I wouldn’t live. This place exceeded my expectations as well as her’s. Thank you to the staff at Kingston Bay.

January 30, 2024Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We're thrilled to hear that your mother is happy at Kingston Bay...and that you are happy as well! We appreciate the opportunity to serve both her and your family.
Overall, I think there was an ok effort. My dad can be difficult. Room was really nice. They overestimated how much of my dad's medical care they could manage. My dad is a full assist and I could see the staff irritated with his needs. Ultimately my dad needed much more medical care than he was able to get in the assisted living environment.

January 10, 2024Thank you so much for your feedback. We appreciate it and will use this information to improve both our assessment process and overall care. My loved one was previously a resident at Kingston Bay Senior Living and her experience at this facility was terrible. I would rate them at a zero in all categories if I could. They were dishonest with us about checking on our loved one, we were told that they did however they did not check on her. We had so many issues at this facility like our loved one losing all of her clothes, the food was bad, etc. I would not recommend Kingston Bay Senior Living to others.

January 10, 2024We are sorry to hear about your negative experience at Kingston Bay. We would like the opportunity to speak with you personally about your experience. If you're willing, please reach out to us at info@kingstonbayliving.com and we will have a member of our team get back with you.
The staff members at the community are super friendly and the residents love them. When it comes to the meals, I have eaten several meals on the assisted-living side and it was very good cleaned my plates. The activities for memory care are outstanding. They have something going on all the time. Flower arranging pet therapy, karaoke exercise, Zumba I love particularly that they load the patience in the bus most weekdays at 3 PM and take them sightseeing. They just drive around sometimes to see the lakes the mountains, the parks, and most recently, Kearney mansion. I visited probably 10 memory care facilities, and chose this Kingston Bay as the highest rated by me. I recommend it.

We chose Kingstson Bay because we liked the location as well as what it looked like. During the tour we thought it was very clean and they worked with us on the price. He was in a private room with a shared bathroom and it was very spacious. We ate here a few times before COVID and the food was really, really good. They were fresh meals and plated very nicely. I would absolutely recommend.

We chose this community because it was newer, clean, and not over the top big so you could get around easily. The staff is pretty good but there has been a lot of turnover with the executive director and sales director. The food is okay but it is not the best. I would recommend this community to other families.

Great place! I live in the area so I've seen this facility almost daily. Never thought I's be helping a family member find a place but you can't say never. My aunt fell in her home and her health took a down hill spiral. I needed a place for her right away. The people that helped me were polite, educated and truly cared. I highly recommend Kingston Bay.

One of the most hospitable communities I have toured while looking for a home for my Dad after Mom passed away. The amenities are gorgeous but I really loved the people I met at Kingston Bay! My Dad will be moving in.

Unfortunately, my Father no longer lives here. We loved the facility, but they truly aren’t equipped or staffed to handle Frontal Temporal Dementia. They couldn’t check on him as often as needed or manage the level of care he requires. It is a shame that care facilities “triage and assess” potential residents and assures the family that the care they provide will care for your ailing family member. I will commend the staff here for fully refunding the amount we paid for Dad’s one month there.

This is a wonderful community for my mom. The community is always clean and I like knowing that it is a good environment for her. The menu is very good and she likes the variety. They do offer activities for the residents who want to participate. We would recommend this community for the great care and value for other families.

We have toured here and were so impressed we are bringing Mom for a visit. Beautiful living space/room for Mom! Entry way, halls etc could use some "warming up" with softer, homier decor for a more welcoming entry. This is a new senior residence and could be a gem once more seniors move in, and see the value of the appointments and quality of design. ps I could not accurately Rate Activities & Care Service as we have not experienced those. [Removed] was a wonderful tour guide.

A Place for Mom has scored Kingston Bay Senior Living 8.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
