The front office staff have been friendly and helpful. The building and grounds are well maintained with only a few occasional issues that seem to get addressed in a reasonable time frame. The food is good with reasonable variety although sometime the meals are spaced too closely together so my parents often end up skipping lunch. The internet is somewhat slow, but decent and perhaps there are opportunities to upgrade, I'm not sure. Minor issues like having a lightbulb out in the apartment take longer than ideal to get addressed but the staff are very friendly. Overall it has been a good experience and would recommend it to others considering making a move and needing this type of facility.... Read more

My daughters had visited this place several months before, and it was very high on their list of places that they liked and then they found another place that they thought they liked and the sales person was very personable and did a great job and we decided to go there and that was far distance from where we were living and we needed to be near those daughters. We stay five months and we're always very unhappy there because the people were not friendly. The staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. We had some difficulties in our apartment, and we're given wrong information by the Director as to what we needed to do to correct these problems and when we didn't do them how she wanted, even after others had told us we were fine. She was very rude to me in front of my family and also very rude to my family when they ask questions, she gave us a 30 day eviction notice because we did not comply with their rules whatever that was and in two days we moved and found where we are now and we really love it. Of course we know it's not perfect and there are some things that we might change if we could or if they bothered us that much but until they do we will be giving them very high scores thank you.

Parents required an adjustment for living where things could be simpler and provide more enjoyment. This is just right for them and provides another level of safety. Very nice grounds to walk and sit. Staff is very friendly.

Parkview in Allen has been an amazing find for our parents. After having an extremely negative experience in another independent living facility, we feel like Parkview has been a “God-send”! The atmosphere from the staff to the other residents is so positive and welcoming. The apartment is great and our parents have been so happy with the quality of the food. We couldn’t thank [name removed] and [name removed] enough for their help in getting our parents in and helping them get settled in the community

Parkview is a beautiful community inside and out. The staff is amazing; they are organized, friendly, and compassionate about the residents. [name removed] and [name removed] went above and beyond when my parents moved in. They’ve lived in other communities and have had negative experiences. We are beyond grateful to call Parkview home.

My mom moved into Holiday Parkview in mid June. The residents made her feel welcome immediately. She’s playing cards and socializing at meals and evening activities. Mom’s apartment was recently updated with new flooring, carpet, paint, and Kitchen cabinets and countertops. The location is convenient to shopping.

I like Holiday Parkview right away, the minute I walk in to Lobby I liked what I saw. It’s Very pretty, clean , nicely decorated, everyone walking by smiled and said hello. I felt like everyone here is friendly and happy. They gave us a small Tour abound the grounds. The flower pots were big and blooming they were all so beautiful, shrubs were trimmed nice. I thought I like how nice they keep the grounds. I love that there’s a pool, I don’t swim but I love to sit by the pool and get some sun. The food here is pretty good that’s a bid plus! Oh and I love my floor plan, my apartment is called home sweet home.

Would I recommend, no if the person could afford something else. Housekeeping is a joke. Not because of the housekeeper but because of what corporate allows.

They have good sized apartments with large bathrooms that accommodate wheel chairs. Restaurant is a good social hour for each meal and included in rent. All other costs like utilities are included in the rent. Grace home care is in the building for some assistance if needed.

For the cost they need to do better with the food. I did not think to try the food first. I picked this community because of the location.

We loved Parkview! Everyone was soooo kind! It's a great family. I'm sure the new Activity Director will bring the Activities up to a 5. She's already done several upgrades, so I should probably change that one to a 5! We love love love this place! Thank you for helping us find it! I've referred soooo many ppl there! 2 have already moved in! [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] have all been completely wonderful! Holiday Parkview has been going through update improvements in all the common areas, lobby, dining room and kitchen. The staffing changes are constant. Mom's apartment has had many problems that they end up fixing, but it takes a long time. They finally have a manager that is staying. The new updated areas are not being kept clean as the contractor doing the updates are not cleaning up after themselves. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the activities are fun. It brings the community together. My mom really likes it there and has made many friends.

I’ve lived here for over a year and think the staff is some of the best I’ve ever seen and I managed a staff of 117 people in my job. The friendliness of the staff is the most important thing and made me choose Parkview as my home for the rest of my life.

A Place for Mom has scored Holiday Parkview in Allen 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
