Holiday Parkview in Allen

We loved Parkview! Everyone was soooo kind! It's a great family. I'm sure the new Activity Director will bring the Activities up to a 5. She's already done several upgrades, so I should probably change that one to a 5! We love love love this place! Thank you for helping us find it! I've referred soooo many ppl there! 2 have already moved in! [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] have all been completely wonderful! They make being at Parkview fun! It has been a wonderful experience for the whole family! We've loved it there!

I am currently a resident at Holiday Parkview in Allen and the overall experience has been okay, so far. The staff and other residents are very friendly. Certain common areas need attention to cleanliness, especially the floors. Overall, I would recommend this facility to others.

Holiday Parkview has been going through update improvements in all the common areas, lobby, dining room and kitchen. The staffing changes are constant. Mom's apartment has had many problems that they end up fixing, but it takes a long time. They finally have a manager that is staying. The new updated areas are not being kept clean as the contractor doing the updates are not cleaning up after themselves. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the activities are fun. It brings the community together. My mom really likes it there and has made many friends.

I’ve lived here for over a year and think the staff is some of the best I’ve ever seen and I managed a staff of 117 people in my job. The friendliness of the staff is the most important thing and made me choose Parkview as my home for the rest of my life.

Mom moved in this summer and she really likes it there. She’s made new friends, her neighbors are nice . She likes the food and is happy she has things to do every day. The office team is great and helps Mom out when she has questions. It’s a great place.

Holiday Parkview in Allen has been great! The staff members are friendly and responsive. The reason we gave it a 4 overall was because of the food, that definitely could be improved on and they could have more snacks for the residents. However, we like the community overall.

Breakfast is about an hour too early for us. And we'd like more Italian entrees and a little more food overall. We understand that it's difficult to please so many pallets but the chef makes a noticeable effort and it's that's why he also gets a 5. This place is a good choice and could stand to have security at night just so residents can feel psychologically safe if for no other reason. The rehab is beautiful.

The people were very friendly. We got to be there at lunch and the food was really good. The community was very comfortable, and it seems like there is a lot of activities to keep active. [name removed] was very knowledgeable and gave a great tour.

I’ve been touring to find a place for my mother. [name removed] gave me an extensive tour and answered all my questions. The community is impressive and we liked the varied activities. We loved the beautiful granite counters and new carpet in the apartment. They’ve moved to the top of our list!

Loved [name removed] from the moment I met her, and they were so helpful! She even came out to my mom‘s home before I moved her. they are also remodeling in the apartments are just beautiful. [name removed] home care I was not impressed with, but they also have another one on site, called [name removed].

My mother loves living there and the staff very helpful and knowledgeable. I'm so pleased that she is having a good experience at such a great place. I wanted something suitable for my mother and she loves it. The value was reasonable especially for what is included in the price. My mother is quite happy with her place there and that makes me happy.

We moved my uncle to Parkview in Allen after my aunt passed away. It took him a minute to get used to the place, now he is so happy there. He enjoys the pretty park in the center of the buildings, and likes the food. He’s starting to be like his old self again. Everyone there is nice. He’s happy there. Thank you Parkview.

We cannot rate the care services because our loved one is on the independent living side and we also cannot rate the value for cost because we have nothing to compare it to. What we like the most about this community is the location- easy to get around in [name removed] without getting on a major highway or toll road.

The experience has been wonderful. I would recommend to others. I picked this community because of the staff, value and people.

The rooms are nice. Everything was updated or replaced before move in. When we moved mom in, the management was missing the general manager due to illness. The new manager is now in and making needed adjustments. The staff is very friendly. It is truly a 55+ community, but has amenities that you get at a care facility like a dining room and 3 meals daily. The housekeeping comes once a week to your apartment. Transportation is available. The Activities Director has been there many years. There are fun things to do and it's a nice community. Inside the halls, the carpet needs replacing and walls painted. This is supposed to happen next year. The food in the dining room is good on some meals and not on some others. Management holds meetings with the residents to give updates and to get feedback on areas that they want to address. Everything is included in the rent, except for phone service (land or mobile). This facility may not be a good fit for everyone. However, I would recommend it. They keep an eye on the resident's abilities. If someone really starts having severe memory issues. they will recommend them to look for a facility to provide the needed care. The staff is there from 7am-7:30pm I believe, so this is not Assisted Living. The residents do get a name tag and an emergency beeper to wear . My mother moved from her home to this facility and she is having so much fun. She is happy and gets out to socialize.

The Holiday Parkview community is very clean and the staff members are really friendly. Overall it is expensive but it provides the needs and wants for our loved one. They could work to improve the meals and dining service but we would still recommend this community to other families.

Super Nice place with Super nice staff and neighbors!

I moved here mostly due to the location and the staff. However, under new ownership some rules have changed and there are less staff.
