General Manager- doesn't always tell the truth, says she will do things she doesn't do, seems impersonal. Staff lacks training and some seem not too bright; chef(cook) doesn't always prepare meals appropriate for the south, too many carbs, and needs to go to culinary school. I think prices are going up AGAIN.

What Ashley Park could improve on would be sanitation, quality of the food and the cleaning services which hasn't been operating for a couple of weeks.

What we like the most about this community is the other residents who live there, they are all very nice. We would recommend Ashley Park by Barclay House community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones.

The common areas are not kept clean. The bathrooms are constantly out of order and no one checks on a timely basis to replenish paper products. I am a very easy person to get along with but when it seems the staff isn't concerned it is very difficult. Overall experience has not been good.
Staff was very accommodating in helping me set up my cable. I am not computer savvy. I found that the location of this facility is in a good location of restaurants and other businesses. So far I like my 2 BR apartment. I have identified some things requiring maintenance. I will be looking around to see how long it takes to address my needs. Some units have screened patios/porches. This would definitely set my mind at ease if I could get a screened in porch/patio. I would consider staying here longer.

Staff is wonderful, very friendly and family oriented. Housekeeping in the general areas is good. Housekeeping offered to the tenants is very limited and really not enough help for them. Move in process was easy. Meals are generally pretty good. We would recommend this facility.

I really like it here. Bathrooms in hall need more attention. I'm not really into the activities which is my fault, not [name removed]. The food for me has taken a downward turn in some cases. Servers need some guidance. If they drag their feet at breakfast and lunch they don't have to return to cleaning rooms too quickly. Then they complain about work load. Servers need some supervision and ideas. I would recommend Ashley Park to anyone and am fortunate to have found it. Everyone has been super nice and accommodating. I love [name removed].

I like the location. I really don't see anyone when I'm there. The food and social events are not what I thought they were going to be.

Response from Holiday Ashley Park
November 17, 2023Your feedback is important to us. I have shared your review with the General Manager, and she would be happy to discuss your experience. Please email me at CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com and I can put you in touch.
It was not what I anticipated. I expected more residents my age or close to it. 71? All I have met are older. Late 70’s, 80’s and 90’s. Seeing the Fire Truck and EMS arrive is almost a daily basis. Very sad and discouraging. ??

November 2, 2023Arlene, your feedback is important to us. I have shared your review with the General Manager, and she would appreciate the opportunity to discuss your concerns with you further. If you email your information to CustomerService@AtriaSeniorLiving.com, I will put you in touch.
We toured Holiday Ashley Park during our search for an Independent Living facility for our loved one. This facility was very nice! Everyone was friendly, the facility was clean, and the food was good.
General Observations: The sign outside reads 'Gracious Retirement Living. There is very little graciousness in this set up, particularly the operational policies. Without the support of the staff, Ashley Park has little to commend it. The basic bones of quality are here. National operations needs to consider the impact of their policy decisions from the Resident's experience.

Home away from home for my mother. I love the staff and faculty. The meals could have more home styled cooked meals, and the activities could have a little bit more of a variety. However based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend Holiday Ashley Park to other families.

Holiday Ashley seems to be a good fit for my sister's need. She appears to be comfortable and that's what's important at this stage of her life.
The meals and dining is where we are struggling, we were told in the beginning we would have chef inspired meals however with covid, staffing shortages, supply chain shortages, inflation etc. they are not able to provide the meals we were promised. They do have really great activities for the residents to participate in, they have a great activities calendar. Holiday Ashley Park is in an ideal location and we would recommend to other families.

I would recommend Ashley Park to others for their loved ones. The community took care of all the needs of the residents. They were accommodating. The food was pretty good. The communication with the staff was good to talk to and they always had someone available to talk to. They always answered any question or assisted with the needs of the residents. The doors were always open for family or residents.
This community is beautiful and a great place for your loved one. . My mother is happier than she has been in years. The people here make a huge difference in her life. She has made a lot of friends and is really happy here where she is.

We chose Ashley Park because of the value for the money, it was everything that we hoped it would be. They have been short staffed which is reflecting in the food and activities some, but I know that is a problem everywhere. Overall it has been a good experience, staff are polite, it is very clean, and it is in a good location. I would recommend to others looking.

A Place for Mom has scored Holiday Ashley Park 8.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
