I understand it is an old place, Needs some paint, whatever. Could be little better food some days in Friendship BUT as far as We are concerned that's not the most important thing. The employees are wonderful, Caring people. They take time to talk to the old people. They smile and wave, call them by name. Even sometimes sit among them and talk to them. (Many of the 'clients' have such Memory loss and dementia, it can be difficult to even talk to them.) I understand they all want to go home. But they are safe, fed 3 meals, kept warm, and Treated with respect. They are not left in their room to sit and stare at the TV all day. And I have 2 other friends who moved there and are in 'independent' care and are very happy. I have had a number of friends and family move to many 'Retirement Homes' newer, Whatever but I give the Staff an A plus. That's not everywhere. Some places it's Just a job.... Read more

My dad is a resident at Glencroft Center For Modern Aging and he likes it there. We would recommend the facility to others. The housekeeping staff are very attentive. As for the meals, if you don't want to go out to eat on the campus, they will deliver your meal. The maintance men are so helpful.

This place is old, dirty and bug infested. The food is mediocre at best. It is very expensive for 50 year old crappy apartments. My mom and dad were so miserable there. There is mold in the pool building and in other buildings. There are also mice and other bug infestations around the campus. Avoid at all costs!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The cost and facility were the biggest factors for us. Glencroft has so many extras to offer their residents. My mom as well as myself were very impressed. And we are very happy with her care their.

We picked this community, because of the cost and non profit and set up to receive state funds if funds were to run out. Staff is really kind and compassionate. They are for the residents.

My loved one is a resident at Glencroft and it's been great. They have good quality meals with daily specials and 2 restaurants on site. The staff was really good at explaining everything before moving in and also gave us a comprehensive tour. The housekeeping is included with your unit.

Our family had an in person tour with Glencroft and our tour guide was excellent, but due to our loved ones lower income the admissions process was a little difficult to navigate through. Also we don't think that Glencroft had any openings for her level of care.
I toured Glencroft and did not like it at all. It's not an Assisted Living Facility, it's just a regular apartment complex with senior residents. I did not consider this facility as an option for my loved one.
They do friendliness and care well. Communication could be improved. They were very helpful

Here at Glencroft there are so many activities, so if you're lonely or not busy - its your fault. I've joined the quilting club, where myself and five other ladies are working on a quilt. I'm a part of the bible study group that meets on Tuesday mornings. I've also volunteered to help move books for the library. I toured a few other places and Glencroft was less expensive than the other communities; but far more superior. It's a phenomenal place to be. I have never asked for anything to be fixed or done, that isn't done within a matter of a few hours. When I moved in, I wanted a reverse osmosis system in the kitchen. Although I did have to pay for it because it was over and above, it was done that same weekend. When I originally saw my apartment, it had carpet in the living and dining room. I told them I wasn't fond of it and they asked what would I like instead. I said I would prefer a flooring that had a wood look. I paid for that as well, and it was done by the time I moved in. They have a maintenance team who can do anything under the sun. For example: the back door would not open all the way, because it opened out into a bonus room with a slant that used to be a porch. They raised the entrance, which in turned raised the door - causing the door to swing over the slant. They fixed that on a weekend while I was visiting my children, so I came home to it being done and that was great. The food is great! I have only taken advantage of one out of three of the restaurants. There's one that's a fancier place, a bistro that has coffee and donuts in the morning, and a place that sells burgers with other things on the menu. One of the meals is free and included in your monthly cost. They also offer transportation within 15 miles, but I'm unsure how that works because I haven't used that service yet. I have spaces in the front and back of my apartment, kind of like a casita - where I can have a flower garden. I'm on ground level, and I really appreciate that too. Overall, I would absolutely recommend Glencroft to others.

There are two places to eat plus a café to. They are Henry's which is casual, and then there is a fancy dining room. The menu is printed out each week and placed for the residents to see. Lunch is the main meal. There is lots to do for activities in the community.

It is great so far for my loved ones. The staff have gone out of their way to assist my them. If my loved one falls, they are quick to assist in getting them back up. My loved one likes the food here.

We chose Glencroft because they were extremely friendly and went out of their way to be patient with us while we figured things out. Also, they are one of the few places in the area that have all levels of care in the same facility. That was attractive to us because we knew she would need more care eventually. The apartment sizes is very good, we were surprised by how roomy they were. They also redid them before she moved in so it was all clean and fresh. The only negative about the facility is that they have trouble keeping the elevators running, but when they were down security was helping residents go up and down the stairs. Overall I would recommend to others looking and already have.
