Great home for mom

My mother in law resided at Discovery Village Alliance for 3 years. We have had nothing short of a wonderful experience during her time there! The staff has always been kind and attentive, the facilities and grounds are extremely clean and well maintained, and most importantly they sincerely care for their residents. Throughout the years we have enjoyed many holidays, celebrations, and meals at the Discovery Village. They truly do provide a home like environment, along with meeting the needs of your loved one. The onsite therapy, entertainment, and transportation amenities are also a huge plus! We are thankful we found such a wonderful place for her to call home. Highly Recommend!... Read more

The community has been friendly. And they made the move in very easy. My dad has been way more engaged than he was before. The facility is clean- and I love the friendly face at the front desk always.

This is how the world should be - happy

I am very happy here, my first impression of Discovery Village was just the friendliness and happiness of the people here, everyone is so happy and always smiling. I am still settling in so I haven't been taking advantage of all the activities, but it is an exceptional environment. It is a very pet friendly community. Warm, friendly, loving kind and caring environment.

Highly pleased residents

We chose Discovery Village because of the friendliness of the staff, that was the main thing that stood out to us and the quality of the facility is great. We have one of the bigger apartments that is over 1200 square feet, it is more than adequate for our needs. They have more activities than we could have ever imagined. We are very pleased with our experience and would recommend them to others looking.

I would recommend

We chose Discovery Village at the time because the location is very close to me. The apartment sizes are spacious and we are very pleased with that. The facility is very safe and secure which I really like, you have to check in. My parents went into their senior living and now my mom is needing more care. I would recommend to others looking.

my personal experience

The apts are spacious, easily decorated, and well designed. They do have storage for rent and garages that can be rented. They have a lovely courtyard, with a covered and heated swimming pool. We also have a community garden and a fitness center. we have lots of community meeting areas. However, I would not recommend this community right now. The food quality is irregular and it has gone downhill. The courtyard has not been maintained. The manager here is not respectful and shows favoritism.

Would recommend independent living, but would not recommend assisted living

The residential living was absolutely fantastic, everyone there was just wonderful. The residential director was amazing, she was extremely emphatic and professional we loved her. However, we had to loved our loved ones over to the assisted living and we would absolutely not recommend the assisted living. Due to COVID our loved ones were not able to participate in the activities they offered, but the assisted living side did seem to offer a good amount. The assisted living side was very disorganized, and not friendly. We felt the head nurse that was in charge of our loved ones was neglectful. Our loved ones both had dementia and there were times they did not receive their medication, and in the beginning the nurse did not even know what medication they needed. The staff was not friendly once you got them moved in. Due to one of our loved ones dementia we saw first hand a staff member shout at our loved one. That staff member escalated the situation very quickly. They had accused our loved one of being verbally aggressive, but our video showed it was the other way around. They have also had multiple infestations of ants, and our loved ones at times would be covered in ant bites. The director in the assisted living as even yelled at our family. One of our loved ones has now moved to the memory care side and they have been much better. They have a new head nurse that is more on top of their medication.

We visited the Watercrest facility in Keller, TX. It is a very nice facility. The staff was friendly and gave us great information. The other residents we encountered seemed very satisfied and comfortable with their surroundings. All the amenities this place offers are first class. As we come to our conclusion for a place for my parents, this facility will definitely one we consider for my parents.

A new community. Very nice apartments with full kitchen, washer/dryer connections, and a private balcony for sitting outside. There is a library, dining room, game rooms, media rooms, a coffee spot, a large outdoor courtyard, and an indoor swimming pool. The resident is able to choose what options they want such as paying for housekeeping and/or paying for lunches. The only negative, as far as for my dad, is the amount of walking needed to get around. It's a very large place.

The Residency Counselor was very easy to work with. She answered all of our questions and gave us documentation to review. She also took us on a tour of one of the rooms to look at the floor plan. The tour also consisted of looking at the activity areas. She told us that they recently started a garden club and we could see that there were residents putting in flowers and vegetables in raised planting beds. My husband's mother would love to do that. We will be bringing her by to do the tour in a couple of months. Everyone we met there was very pleasant.

Nice apartments, well priced and customizable options! Brand new location in north Ft Worth near Hospital, lots of stores and restaurants. We had a good visit with [Removed] and saw the floor plans we wanted to see. When we were contacted they asked us to go around 11:00 to 11:30AM so we would have lunch there. We arrived at 11:00AM and left at 1:48PM but lunch was never mentioned. We went to a McDonald.

I don't trust this setup. It makes no sense to me that one floor gets meals and the rest of the building does not. I don't think they are sufficiently organized yet. The interior is beautiful though. Exterior, not so much.

My Dad's Home

The complex for independent residents is good. My dad's apartment is great and it has a good layout for seniors. He has a kitchen where he makes most of his meals but he does like the breakfast served in the dining room. I like the community just opened in April and we picked them because they were more close and it is convenient for the family. He is very private person so he is not doing a lot of things offered with the activities.

Beautiful New Community

Watercress at Alliance Town Center is a beautiful new community opened in April 2017. The convenience to shopping and medical facilities is wonderful. Transportation is provided for weekly shopping , appointments and outings. We have an excellent chef; breakfast is included and currently lunch is served using one of the meal plan options. Our activities seem endless from; in-house movies, bingo, board games, specialty events, a sports lounge with pool table, ping pong, shuffle board, and a "big screen TV" to watch "the game"! There is a swimming pool and exercise classes with licensed instructors in our state-of-the-art gym. Other services include a salon, nail spa, massage therapy and home health care. Outside excursions may include monthly dining, Rangers game, museums or Paint with a Twist. If you get bored here it's your own fault!

Great Staff!!

I have no complaints of how things are going for my loved one and I since we have recently made the move into this community. The staff have been helpful with the move and have accommodated our needs to the best of there ability. They have a great dinning room experience and we are starting to get involved in the different activities they have to offer for the residents. Overall we are very happy and would recommend it to anyone.

Everything is fine

The only minor complaint I have is that they do not offer choices of meals and the portions are small. They only offer maintenance for the common areas and the grounds. The community is clean and well maintained. They offer a lot of activities and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this community.
