It is expensive but all the places are. He was not in the memory care side- I can only speak to the Legacy building- he loved it! They do care for them like family. There was a more consistent staff which is hard to do. He regarded them as friends. The facility was clean and smelled good always. It had tons of natural light. We loved the neighborhood feel. Did not feel like ALF at all. Admin was good to work with- guess it trickled down. They kept the same staff in the same area. Everyone working there is very friendly. The facility is kept very clean. The thing most important to me is that my mother needs a lot of care and the girls that work with her really do a nice job. I would recommend this facility to other friends and family.

My 95 year old mother in law, [name removed], moved in the end of January. Prior to moving [name removed] was rather down in spirits and shall we say “not too eager” to move out of her house of 30 years. But it was obvious to her family she could no longer live on her own. The whole process of her touring the facility and the dozens of questions she had was made so simple by [name removed], [name removed]and their team. I felt like every question was answered promptly. [name removed]is now starting her 4th month there. She told me the other day that she loves it there! The effort put into providing activities for the residents is incredible. And the kindness shown towards her by literally everyone on staff is so nice. Needless to say I cannot say enough positives about Cypress Creek. It has changed our family. All of us feel so much lighter knowing Marie is enjoying her last years. I call [name removed] and [name removed] our angels for a reason. They are very special ladies who have a gift. God blessed this family and I am so grateful.

My wife has dementia with Parkinsons. When looking for a place we were lucky enough to find Cypress Creek. The care there is exceptional. I visit regularly and have never seen anything but a great staff that really cares about the people living there.

Mom's been at CC-ALF for a few months short of a year and I've been very pleased with her care. Making the decision to move to an ALF was a difficult one, but I'm so happy and relieved mom is in good hands. This is a privately run facility and immediately you notice the differences from corporate run places. The residents live in wings with about a dozen other folks who need similar kinds of care. Every employee I've met shows care about the folks they are helping. I've been there at all times of day and on every day of the week and I'm always greeted by name and usually given a brief rundown of how mom is doing. My only advice to someone facing moving a parent to an ALF, I wish I did it earlier.

Cypress Creek is the best choice in the Ruskin / Sun City Center area for your loved one. It features a bright, clean environment with a friendly staff. There are numerous activities and outings for the residents as well as transportation for doctors appointments. We toured most others in the area and chose Cypress Creek. We are happy to have our loved one there.

Our family had an in person tour with Cypress Creek, and overall we had a good tour experience. However the community just did not have space in the section she would have been placed in and we really didn't want to wait any longer.
The reason we chose this place to start with was because it was clean and bright. Also, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and understanding. In all the time my loved one was there, they always had patience with her, explained what was going to happen and didn't force. They would ask 3 times to get her to eat....for example, before giving up if she didn't want to. They "forgot" her difficulty, fast. The place is laid out in a family group setting of the same type stage people that are staying together. Living in the same wing eat, play, music, trips.. We found that very good. She said it was home. The meals and dining varied, depending on the day. As for cost, some months we were charged for more care than she needed. But she was happy at this facility.

We liked the community. Our decision was based on cost with Cypress Creek and distance to my home (for ease in visiting) with my loved one. We almost moved my stepfather to Cypress Creek after my mom passed to give him a new beginning and direct access to outdoor space but he chose to stay where he was.
From the time we started the journey of looking for a place for our loved one, the staff at Cypress Creek have gone above and beyond in helping us find the best solution. Since placing our loved one here, we have been impressed and grateful for the compassion and quality of care received by both our loved one and us. Our loved one's quality of life has thankfully improved so much since moving in. She thoroughly enjoys the array of activities available.

Unfortunately my 'husband' has Alzheimer's. We kept him at home until it was no longer safe or sanitary to do so. Moving him into Memory Care was an extremely difficult and heart wrenching process......but to my amazement there was no need to worry. The environment is safe, the staff are caring, the management are responsive. Five stars go to the cleaning crew. Another 5 stars to the activities coordinator who has been with the facility for over 15 years and is the heart and soul. Her joyous approach to the daily activities is catching and the residents respond positively to her. I couldn't be happier and he is quite comfortable and doing better there than at home. Thank you Cypress Creek Memory Care!

My wife has been a resident at Cypress Creek in the Memory Care Unit since March 2022. The first few weeks were typical of trying to settle into a new home. But I immediately noticed the staff taking her in and keeping her calm, making sure she was safe. As time passed, she became more comfortable with her new “home” and after several months, I had the feeling that she was, in fact, “home”. She is suffering from Alzheimer’s and as the disease has progressed, the staff has constantly monitored her condition, has kept me informed about her status, and has made recommendations as to what increased care she may be needing. In addition, they have involved me in managing her medications and keeping me informed of her mood swings and what actions they are taking. The hardest thing for me as her husband and caretaker has been to back off. What was a once a one on one environment (me & her) was now her and 10 other residents being cared for by 2 or 3 staff members. What amazed me, was t

I've had a decent experience with Cypress Creek Assisted Living. They take good care of you; it's a clean place and it smells good. I would say it's a good place for assisted living. Some of their activities include; balloon volleyball, bingo, a lot of sing-a-longs, ice cream socials, and a whole bunch more. They also occasionally take the residents on a scenery drive outing. I would, without a doubt, recommend others to come and check it out!

Cypress Creek is amazing, the wing our loved one is in is brand new. They have small little "communities" or separate "wings" where each of them only have about 12-20 residents, they have their own living room and dining area. You are able to walk around and visit other wings, but you eat with everyone is your own wing. As far as we know they have good activities going on - they have bingo, exercise classes, a hair dresser on sight and a physical therapist on sight. Everybody is just super nice, and so far we have been very happy with it.

We have been very pleased with our experience at Cypress Creek. What stuck out to us about them was they had very nice private rooms and it was also a brand new facility in a great area. We also really liked the layout. We went to some where the memory care residents were upstairs so they could not leave. That is not the case here, it is all on one story and they share living areas where people can congregate. They have a nice kitchen area and a fenced in courtyard area as well where residents can get outside and get fresh air. The only complaint we have is that they offer an in house pharmacy and doctor service, the doctor service is ok but the pharmacy is an issue because they do no take her medical services so we have to pay more for her medications. Overall I would recommend them to others, we think it is a great place.

Response from Cypress Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care Residence
March 21, 2022Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Thank you for choosing CCALR for your loved one, it truly is a privilege to care for your loved one.
Our family had an in person tour and we did not really care for it to much, the layout of the building was very confusing to us
Response from Cypress Creek Assisted Living and Memory Care Residence
February 10, 2022Thank you for coming and touring our community. I apologize if the explanation of the peer-grouped neighborhoods and layout was not explained and toured clearly. Our custom layout is actually what attracts most to our community, as the Residents are grouped with others at a similar level of care. I personally welcome you to come back and tour with me in hopes to provide clarification to the campus.
We loved Cypress Creek. The administrative staff seemed extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. The facility was gorgeous, we really just loved everything about it. The only downfall was that the rooms were too small to accommodate a couple. If my parents are ever by themselves, we will be moving here.
Our loved one is doing really well over there, we like how the community is set up with a nice neighborhood layout. So everyone that has the level of care needed they have their own common area and bedroom area.
