Countryside Haven

My aunt is at this facility and we have seen the transformation since the new owners took over. The updates they’ve done are beautiful. The house is clean and so cozy. But the most important thing is the people. The new owners are great and the staff is the most caring group of aides we’ve ever met! The other people who live there are very nice to my aunt she feels like she has a lot of friends and she enjoys going out and doing things together with them. They have worked hard to include her in activities even though she doesn’t see very well they have someone help her do crafts and play games and they’ve done extra special things just for her so she’ll be able to be included. Over the years I’ve had other relatives in assisted-living and nursing facilities and unfortunately I’ve seen some really bad environment these people are here doing what they love and you can tell it is their passion because the difference in this facility as opposed to all the others I’ve been around is night and day. It’s so refreshing to see people taking care of our elderly population in such a warm friendly manner. Thank you [names removed] on the weekends. I know there are more but I can’t think of everyone’s name. I just want to acknowledge their hard work. My aunt calls me all the time to tell me about her Day and she really loves the people at this facility.

My mom was at a bigger facility that cost a bit less but we were unhappy with several things there so we decided to give it a try at Countryside Haven. We are SO glad we did! There is a profound difference in her- she’s so much happier and outgoing. She clearly feels better and looks healthier when we visit. She’s surrounded by people who care about her in a beautiful home like setting. It has made all the difference. We didn’t even know how depressed she was at the other place until we saw her come out of her shell after she moved to Countryside Haven. She participates in Activities and goes on their outings; she loves her room; and she eats so much better now! The staff are so kind and attentive to her. She is treated very well and never gets lost in the crowd like she did at the other place. Wish we would’ve known what a difference a place like this would make sooner. But this last year she’s been at Countryside has been such a blessing.

This facility is amazing! Since the new owners they have updated the facility so it now feels very homie, and the staff is very caring. They seem to be always smiling and having a good time. I highly recommend this facility!

For 7 days my mom was getting cared for by the community and were able to handle her dementia. I liked the owner when we meet. She was friendly and knowledgeable and this is why I picked them. I found the community was clean. My mom was comfortable during her stay. She enjoyed the meals they made. Activities were offered and she liked participating. I would return for another respite and recommend them to others.

I would not recommend this place at all and all I did was take a tour. The community needs a bad remodel and upgrade to make it feel better. It reminded me of a cheap motel and it wasn't even as good as Motel 6. We asked to see the back area and they said that we could not go back there. They had everyone smoking in the front right where you walk in. The community was as clean as I would like it to be. Not the place for us!

Very clean and friendly. Residents were still in their rooms or bed at 10:30. No activities.
