Just 35 miles from downtown Chicago, Illinois, Artis of Bartlett is a premier memory care home focused on providing top-notch health care and all the comforts of home for your loved one. Designed as an intentional, open neighborhood, this community was created to encourage independence while maintaining residents’ safety.
Artis of Bartlett offers 24-hour care and supervision, with on-site nurses and therapists. Medication management, ambulatory care, and hospice are all available, and caretakers are specially trained in memory care.
Studio suites in a variety of floor plans can be selected to find the right space to call home. Wayfinding cues and indoor walking paths allow for residents to safely navigate between their rooms and common areas.
A restaurant-style dining room allows for meals to be served family-style, enabling residents to socialize and enjoy their favorite foods. This facility has been taken over 3x since I had my mom here Activities are non existent - they sit them in front of you tube. Food is improving slightly but awful when it was Chapters They can’t seem to keep a director of nursing Caregivers are overworked. A few are awesome and have the heart for caring for these residents (. Namely [name removed] and [name removed]) I need to keep on them to do laundry and keep her Room clean. The facility is lovely but it’s all for show.

I would definitely recommend Artis. It is very expensive though and going up and it private pay. Their communications are lacking in giving updates on the resident, but great when I contact them. The director when my loved one moved in has left and I don't think he's been replaced. They are supposed to send an activities calendar, but that doesn't happen often. I do want to say that my experience with A Place for Mom provided excellent service when we were selecting a facility. The gentleman,[name removed] was excellent to work with at APFM.

So far everything is working out well. The care partners are extremely nice and friendly. The facility is extremely clean. I would highly recommend it unless your loved one needs one-on-one care, because they're just not equipped to do that.

Artis of Bartlett is a great place. I'm very happy with the choice we made for my mom. The facility setup is nice - it's all on one floor, and it's split up into "neighborhoods" that tie into local areas around Bartlett. The staff have good communication with me, and also with each other. They use radios for effective communication within the facility. There is definitely enough staff to care for the residents. They have excellent activities and keep the residents busy and engaged. Overall I've been very pleased with the facility and the people at Artis.

They are very friendly and responsive. My loved one likes the food and seems happy. They offer activities dailiy. We picked this community because, it was less expensive than other places.,very clean, homey, and a smaller community. Anytime you have a question, they are right on top things. Overall, the staff is wonderful.

We chose Artis of Bartlett because dad was needing more care at this point and I felt they were going to provide the best care for him. It is a smaller facility, only about 30 residents so he gets more individual attention. He is very happy here and we have been so happy with our experience. All of the staff members are extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend them to other families who are looking.

This community was fantastic and it was our second choice. We just felt more comfortable with the other community that we were looking at and that is the only reason we did not go with this community.

Our loved one lived at Artis for a couple months and the community itself was great, however it was just not a great experience for our loved one and family. They got sick and ended up in the hospital, and soon after had to move to another community because they need more care. However, it was nothing the community did they were great while our loved one was there

So far, so good! My experience with anything, however, is that service usually changes over time.( She's been there almost 2 months.) Having said that, right now Artis Memory Care of Bartlett is great. My mom is doing well. It's great to have her closer to me. The place is clean. Don't smell that uriney, old people smell that makes places horrible and scary. The staff is kind and attentive. I just hope it stays that way.
