[name removed], the intake coordinator was extremely helpful. She made the decision to choose Cedarhurst at Edison Lakes incredibly easy. My mother is content at this facility. Her apartment is exactly what she needed. The meal schedule is difficult for her to always attend. However, knowing she has the availability is great. Unfortunately, there have been some difficult issues with the executive staff refusing to work further with me or my mother and not returning calls or emails. We've tried to resolve these issues, even speaking to corporate. [name removed] at corporate was very friendly. Finally, after nearly 10 days, I heard back from the Edison Lakes Executive director. I'm hopeful things will continue to improve, despite the fact I don't think this situation was handled well. That is sad considering the amount my mother spends each month. It's difficult to rate staff overall. While the executive director was slow to respond and the assistant executive director has yet to reach out despite me being told she was reprimanded, EVERYONE else from the nurse to the maintenance and cleaning staff have been 5 star.... I toured Cedarhurst and I did not like the atmosphere, it was old and dingy and some carpet was ripped in hallways which I thought would be dangerous for elderly. We did have lunch and I think the food was very good.
We needed to find a place quickly. Cedarhurst felt like home. Everyone is so friendly. Staff are very conscientious of their residents. The have been an amazing resource in the care of our mother.

The nursing staff is great, and I have nothing negative to say about the medical staff. The food is good, and I have tried the breakfast and lunch before. The dining room is nice. The chef/cook is very pleasant. The wait staff is extremly helpful. I don't feel lik, my loved one received proper attention, that was needed. Overall, they don't have the proper protocols for safety of the residents.

After viewing at least three other Senior Living Communities my father choose Cedarhurst because of the meals. He comments all the time how happy he is with the care and meal selections he has. Just the other day he even had his favorite dinner - Liver and onions.

My mom has lived here for 4 years. I have been there many times. The holiday decor is beautiful and in every room. I have eaten there many times. The food is just like home, always delicious. My mom loves it here. There are many activities and guest entertainment. It’s a home like environment.

We moved dad to Cedarhurst 2 weeks ago and it was a great move. The staff have been very helpful as we dial in dad's care plan and needs. The community is always clean! The food is good too! We are so happy that they have many activities and dad is navigating through meeting many new friends. Happy family here!

The facility is bright, beautiful, it's full of life and it's clean. There's art everywhere which makes the place feel like home. The food is delicious everyday there's something special to eat. The staff try their hardest to make my grandmother comfortable as well as accommodate for whatever needs she has. I recommend this place to anybody who needs a place that they can rely on. The app has made such a difference to communicate with them on a day-to-day basis and know how my grandma's doing.

My Dad really likes it at Cedarhurst. When it came down to his decision he said he thought they were all the same but once he ate at Cedarhurst his decision was made. He thinks their food and service set them apart.

They say they're assisted living, and their idea of assisted living is walking somebody back and forth to the dining hall or watching them take a shower so they don't fall. As far as hands-on, that is not part of their facility, although they said it was. The room has been good. Kelly has done a great job with activities. The food is not the greatest, but it's okay.

Cedarhurst, formerly Waterford, is by far the best independent and assisted living community. We moved my Mom and Stepfather in just before the COVID pandemic hit full force. So glad we did! Their apartment is wonderful with a small kitchenette, two bedrooms, two baths, and no kidding closet space! Unheard of in this arena. Tons of options and flexibility with eating meals. The nursing staff and other support staff genuinely care, and will communicate with the family on any and all matters. I looked at many many places and none of them touched what Cedarhurst offers!

StoryPoint was quite impressive, but it the care plan didn't have multiple levels. Essentially, it was too much care for us at this stage. Great value, flexible care levels, beautiful setting.

My dad has been a resident at Cedarhurst for almost a year now. He recently spent 4 weeks in the hospital and at a therapy rehab facility. The director of nursing visited him at the rehab facility. Upon arrival back at Cedarhurst, he was greeted by employees and residents with fist bumps and welcome back greetings. This shows the kindness of those working and living at Cedarhurst. They care about each other.

My mom has lived at Cedarhurst for a year and a half. She thrives on the countless daily activities and the other residents that she has to chat with. The staff assists her with her daily care and this has been a relief for our family.

A Place for Mom has scored Cedarhurst of Edison Lakes 9.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
