I had the most abhorrent tour experience at Cedar Ridge of Fort Wayne. I toured many places over the course of our search for care and had never seen anything so objectionable. During the tour, the tour guide started to make fun of and taunt a resident with dementia in front of me. At that point I asked to end the tour and did not complete it. In general, the tour guide was very casual, and it sounded like they just did not care. Later on, Cedar Ridge started spam calling and texting me to set up a tour as if they had no record that I had been in to tour previously. And the messages became increasingly aggressive about the fact that I was not returning their calls. This is not a place I would ever want my loved one to go.
Cedar Ridge of Fort Wayne had nice rooms. And the dementia area was secure. But I didn't like that it was on the second floor. Also, I had heard some concerning thing about the care.
They have different activities through the week like popcorn days, ceramic days, and musical days. They have a monthly newsletter that gets sent our and weekly updates. We would recommend this community to others.

Our tour went ok with Cedar Ridge. There were not a lot of residents and the facility itself was HUGE with multiple floors. We figured that mom might get lost with a place this big.
It's been a good experience so far. My family member just loves it there. She likes her room, likes the food, and likes the people. And she's advanced in age and can be very picky. I see them cleaning all the time. It's just been a good experience. We were somewhere else at twice the cost and half the service, so we're very pleased with Cedar Ridge.

The activities director really keeps a lot going on. They decorate for all the holidays. The community is a very friendly place and I enjoy living here. Before covid, we did all kinds of things like bus trips and live music. I would recommend this community to others. I feel comfortable and safe and the community is open to feedback.

Apple Ridge is a great addition to Fort Wayne. Friendly and compassionate team members who truly care about the seniors living there. Building looks clean and inviting, and I would gladly refer to this assisting living community.

I would recommend Apple Ridge. I visited quite a few and it was the best for us. The food was very good. Room sizes were adequate. The executive director was very friendly. They do not have much outdoor space.

Went to give a fruit basket to someone and the staff didn't seem to care about giving me directions to the room. Spent 30 min looking around and when I saw an employee to ask for directions they got upset for me interrupting their phone time. Talked to at least 4 people that live their and asked what they think, and none of them had anything good about it. One guy said that it was definitely not home. Talk about spending your last days at the worst place possible.

My mom loves the food. The housekeeping is wonderful in keeping apartment clean. A few of the nursing staff are grumpy.

[Name removed] did a wonderful job representing the heart of Woodview and their employees. Excellent activities and residents' involvement. Nice room with the best closets that we saw that day. We choose the other facility because of closeness to where family is located.

Not a good experience. Our loved one did not receive the minimum patient care level anyone would or should expect. Professional staff did not follow Doctors orders, some direct care staff did not provide basic patient care (regular showers - twice a week minimum), were confrontational, disrespectful, and unprofessional when questions about basic care were inquired about. While this did not reflect all the staff interaction we had it was enough to realize our mistake for allowing them to care for our loved one.

The residents at this community all had a pretty advanced level of dementia or Alzheimers so my husband would have no real interaction with any of the residents and the only ones he would have been able to socialize with were the staff.

This community was very nice it is on the newer side so everything was very clean and looked very good. However, the location was not what I was looking for. The community is situated in between 2 big buildings and that gave it more of a city feel to it I was looking for a more relaxed peaceful setting. The staff was very nice that we met.

This is a great community, and my mother is doing excellent since her move here. I'am satisfied with all they have done for us. They are taking very good care of her, and her needs. I know she is safe, and receiving good care. The staff is great, I can't say enough good things about this community. They have nice activities, and provide good meals for the residents. This community is working out well for us, and I would recommend it.

The Woodview was a very nice community and I liked it but my mother did not. She did not get a good vibe off of the lady that took us on the tour. It was not a good fit for her.

I really like the Woodview. I have popped in unannounced and every time I go, my father is doing great. The place is clean and everyone is very friendly. They always call me when my father has medication changes or when there is a problem with something. I would most certainly recommend this place to anyone looking.

The staff are trying to help mom get adjusted to living here. Mom is in the memory care unit and they do offer some activities. She usually likes the food, however she would like more variety. They do a pretty fair job of keeping the community clean. I wish they had an area in memory care for higher functioning residents.
