The people at Brooklyn Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care were all great with my dad and very friendly to us. I was there almost every day. They shared whatever I asked about. The move in process was easy, the rooms are big. The meals were okay, the staff was great with helping him eat when I wasn't there. I have recommended it to anyone that asked about where he was. It was the best choice for him, for sure.... Read more

I have a relative in this facility which does not have enough personnel and the ones there don’t have empathy for these patients. The cares they are a lot on their phones, that door that goes out the packing patients escape from back there, the alarm of that back door doesn’t sound to loud. No one can hear it from up front. They are not really pain attention to these patients. No commitment at all. I saw and witnessed it myself. And I spoke about it to the director [name removed], and nothing was done about it. After that incident they treated me like it was my fault And when I go the other side it always smells like urine. There’s a male patient always lock up in his room screaming for help and no one pays attention to him.

Don’t let ur guard down and trust no one. It is always going to sound like the answer to your prayers but the lies will be revealed soon after u get settled in and write your second check. Oh and just in case u r looking for a medicaid certified facility, I found it takes aprox. 1 year and the facility next door is not an option if u love and care for your person. There should be laws about tricking desperate, weary uneducated caretakers seeking a sound, safe, environment for someone they love. By the time u finish the brutal crash corse u will no doubt receive in placing ur person in a facility, it will be to late. The damage will be done and u too will be back to square one. U will be a little bit wiser but unfortunately u will be disappointed, outta money and so very numb.

I am very happy I chose this facility for my mom. I have peace of mind that she is being well cared for! I picked this community because it was a smaller community and financially more feasible. Also, because the quality of care is top-notch.

September 21, 2023Thank you so much for taking the time to send us your thoughts. We are grateful that you (and your mom) have positive things to say about Brooklyn Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care. I have passed along your note to the team. We strive to exceed expectations every day! Thank you again.
My father is a resident at Brooklyn Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care and his experience at this facility has been very good. The staff is very friendly to all of the residents and they treat them really nice. I am there, I see it. The food is good. The move in process was easy. There's always room for improvement, but we've had very few problems so far. I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

Response from Brooklyn Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care
March 16, 2023Thank you so much for your positive review and comments. Our entire team at Brooklyn Pointe is appreciate of your kind words. Thank you very much.
The people at Brooklyn Point really care about the people who live there. You can feel it in the air. The staff that moved my loved one's furniture in said that they have grandparents that live in a different community and the employees there just don't seem to care. I think the staff and care level is around a 4 or 5 here at Brooklyn Pointe. As an example of how amazing the staff is, I was putting new risers under my loved one's adjustable bed and I could not handle it alone A member of the kitchen staff was on the floor picking up dishes, and he came in and helped me & two other staff members fix the bed. They are just genuinely nice people.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. This is a nice community. The staff are wonderful to work with. The residents are exceptionally friendly. The location is near shopping centers and this is a plus for the residents. The food is excellent. There are three meals a day served to the residents and there are choices to choose from. Some of the activities available include bingo, religious services, movies, exercise programs, Wine Wednesday, and more for the residents to participate in.

Brooklyn Pointe is a very bright community and it appealed to our loved one the most which is why we picked it. The activities are fabulous, there is plenty of different things for the residents to do to keep busy. The meals themselves are good, there is nothing wrong with the quality. However as far as those who have diabetes or anything other dietary restrictions they could work on having different snack options. For example during bowling the only snack/treat they have is chocolate. The overall value for the money is completely worth it and we would definitely recommend this community to other families.

The community really has been unresponsive to the changes of medications for my loved one. My loved one's care needs are not being met by the community. I think the staff are nice; however, for whatever reason it is not working out for my loved one at this community.

It feels like walking into a home, because you walk in and there's a lovely living room. You'll see a baby grand piano with music playing at times. The residents spend time in the common areas; it has a home-like feel when you walk in. My loved one has a studio apartment. It is just enough space, and has a nice little kitchen area with a microwave & refrigerator. She has her own furniture, it was made very easily for her to feel at home when she walks in. In fact, when she walked in she said, "This looks like my house". Some of their activities include music, weekly visits from one of the local Catholic churches with communion, bingo, and outings to the zoo. They have lots of different things to do. She really likes the fact that the food is from a menu, similar to going to a restaurant and picking from the menu. One of the things the family says constantly is: we know that our loved one is safe and taken care of here. I would recommend Brooklyn Pointe to others.

Response from Brooklyn Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care
September 28, 2021Thank you for your review.
Okay something smelled on the care cost side. $1200 highest care costs while all competitors are twice that. Did not make sense. Then told to review articles about Meridian the owner. Build the facilities, gets them in, and then flips it and you are stuck with new pricing. [name removed] is out with COVID. I was very excited about this place but now it makes me sick inside to move my dad from CA and get into a hot mess.

If you have a loved one at Brooklyn Pointe and God forbid they should pass, don’t expect a card or a phone call from them. My mother lived there just short of a year. She passed in early November and I didn’t hear a word from them. No phone call, no email or card. Nice

Response from Brooklyn Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care
July 1, 2021Thank you for your feedback and our condolences for the loss of your mother. We will share this to the team and highlight the importance of keeping connected with families because this is very important to us.
I think their memory care is great. The food is great. The food is a big deal for the residents to look forward to each day. My loved one states that the staff doesn't speak to them when they come in. They will answer a question if asked. I think the community is short staffed. They have lots of activities with the residents. They do bingo, artwork, movies, and exercise for the memory care residents. They post artwork of the residents on Facebook for family members to see. This community is more organized than the past community my loved one was in prior. I wanted to have my loved to receive counseling due to the loss of their spouse. I feel that mental health should be included with the care the residents are receiving. The community is beautifully decorated.
