My loved one was previously a resident at Brookdale Weddington Park and everything was great for her at this facility. The staff were all excellent with my loved one. I have nothing but good things to say about Brookdale Weddington Park and would highly recommend them to my friends and family. And would live there myself.

From the moment I walked up to this facility for a visit- it was just the opposite of everything I experienced looking at other facilities and hearing about other facilities from friends. The day I came to meet with one of the directors, the front porch was filled with a bunch of people sitting outside enjoying the weather. They were happy and welcoming. I actually asked if they lived there and they said yes. Asked if they like living there and they told me they LOVED IT. When the director came out to meet me wherever we walked she knew every residents name and introduced me to them. One lugged and asked if I was moving there and I said I'm trying to find a place for my mom. One resident said your mom will love the place and the staff. Long story short, it's been beyond my and my mothers expectations and the staff are wonderful and loving. Anyone would be very lucky to reuse her. I have always worried about my mom living by herself since my father passed 6 years ago but she wanted to remain independent. I also have a calm over me that I haven't felt in many years knowing she's safe, taken care of and multiple activities and entertainment there. And the food is excellent. Including SHRIMP dishes which she loves seafood.
I just cannot say enough wonderful things about Brookdale Weddington Park! Mom is so so so happy there! The residents and staff are all happy and wonderful, the food is fantastic, the activities are abundant, and the space is warm and welcoming. It's like walking into someone's home! We could not be more pleased on every single level! I can't imagine her being anywhere else!

We went with Brookdale Weddington Park because of the location and the smaller size of the facility. There are only 83 beds so the care is more personalized. They do have a lovely activities director, but since it is smaller there is less amenities offered than some of the larger places. I found the marketing staff at each Brookdale facility that we toured to be very well focused and professional with how they approached the situation. They made me feel like my needs were important too and that is something that I was not expecting. They were all educated and there was no dumb question. It is all about matching your loved ones needs and wants to the population. I would definitely recommend them to others looking.

Our family had an in person tour and they were a little loosie goosy when it came to their questions. It is a very nice facility but it felt very hospital like. What really turned us off was the sales gal/director talked only about money. They did not show us the dining hall they did not introduce us to the other staff it was just all about money.

Facility seemed kind of dated. The rooms looked like they needed a lot of work. The staff was very nice. Not all inclusive on pricing and that was the deal breaker.
They have great potential at this community. However, I feel like they are currently understaffed just like any other community right now. I think that they try but at this time they have limited resources to execute as far as personnel. The have games, bingo, bible study, work out classes and more for the residents to do to keep busy at this community.

We toured this community and the tour was very good. They answered all of our questions and were very informative. They were very accommodating and the staff was very helpful and friendly.
Our family was able to do an in person tour way before the covid restrictions so we were able to see the entire community. It was nice, but the value for cost was all inclusive which was to expensive for us
They are very caring here. They handled routine care well, but they had very few RNs or LPNs, mostly CNAs. Both nurses and CNAs are valuable, there's a place for both. The only reason that we left is because they could not handle care of a foley catheter. They really did engage the residents, and they cared very much about what the residents liked and how they could enrich that.

They have a tenured staff and the food is excellent. They have kept my mom really happy. The staff and director true do care about the residence. I would definitely recommend this community to others

The residence care personalizes their space, and everyone has a window in their rooms. The staff's communication was great and they sent us updates via email. Before covid, we did have family gatherings there. The facility was always kept very clean and the rooms are big and roomy.

From the moment we toured Brookdale Weddington Park we knew it was the right place for our mother. We were impressed with the warm and friendly staff, the cleanliness of the facilities, the fact that most of the employees had worked there for many years. Unfortunately we moved Mom in during the coronavirus and she had to be quarantined but the staff made the best of a challenging situation and their upbeat attitude helped Mom deal with it positively. We are looking forward to the time when we can get in to see Mom and her new room. But for now we can rest assured that she is well taken care of and where she needs to be and that gives us peace of mind.

We are so happy that we moved Mom to Brookdale Weddington Park. The atmosphere here is so different from [removed]. The staff is ever present and they interact with the residents constantly. We have had so much support from the staff and they seem to truly care about Mom's well being. It was a very difficult decision to move a 97-year-old from one facility to another, but we are so relieved that we made this decision. Mom is such a sweet and undemanding person that it is easy to ignore worsening conditions. Brookdale has been on top of everything and we are so thankful. We have no regrets at all about moving Mom to Brookdale.

My dad is very happy here, he has a big room and his furniture makes it feel more like home. There is a nice courtyard along with a front porch for the residents to us and the staff here are very friendly and attentive to their residents. My dad & I like that this is one story too. Dad enjoys going to the dining room and he likes his table mates and the food. there are a lot of amenities for the residents to choose from should they want to and I would definitely recommend setting up a tour here.

I had a good tour of this community. Everything went well, and everyone was nice to my family, and I. The community looked good from what we were shown. The staff was helpful, and our questions were answered. It was a nice experience, and I did not have any problems with my tour.
