Brookdale Wake Forest has been such a blessing to my mother. The new management and staff are so wonderful, kind, caring and professional. My mother has made new friends and enjoys everything about Brookdale. Best is she is so close to our home and we get to see her often!

The overall experience has been good, but she generally is a loner unless she knew they were well-educated since she was. Always cleaning. Very nice staff. They tried to motivate [name removed] to participate. Phone calls from us to staff were rarely returned the same day if at all. They're seemed to be some laundry mix-ups with the schedule. Maintenance was quick to respond and excellent. I feel that a med tech should have been trained to take vitals correctly and also that the equipment to do them with should have always been available. Meals started to become rather bland after the first kitchen supervisor took leave for several months. Lots of great activities for residents to enjoy, except my mother-in-law very cantankerous and didn't want to do much. Plus she was very hard of hearing with poor eyesight.. Cost seemed a little higher than average but equal or lower than similar Assisted Livings. It was convenient for us. If my mother-in-law wasn't the type personality she was and beginning dementia, it would have been a great experience. My dad lived at a Brookdale in Kentucky for several years and he loved it, but he was very social and loved people. Family truly recommends Brookdale

Brookdale Wake Forest has been a godsend for our family. Not only have they welcomed my sister with open arms, they treat everyone like family. The only issue/concern is that this Brookdale facility does not accept Medicaid. So we will need to move my sister to another facility (hopefully another Brookdale) when her assets are gone and needs to use Medicaid. Unfortunately, that will probably happen within a year to 12 months.

The first 3 weeks were great. Then slowly I would find him in wet clothes and a wet bed. I was changing him nearly 4 times a week. No activities as promised and he ended up in hospital with a UTI and dehydrated. I was told he was kicking and hitting and using his walker as a weapon. I do not know for sure but he has trouble standing and walking so I doubt he could kick, punch, and hit with a walker at the same time.

If I was asked. I'd say very friendly and helpful until they got your money then you are just a number. Chose that place because it was the only one available and closest to me.

February 26, 2024Thank you for choosing Brookdale and taking the time to share your feedback. We would welcome an opportunity to discuss any concerns you may have and encourage you to contact our management team.
Brookdale does a great job working with families who has a family member who is entering into the assisted living phase of life. The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff do a great job making them feel comfortable when transitioning into the facility.

It was not a very good experience. They can improve with Employee turnover. I would not recommend to others. They were gungho to get my loved one into the facility, and once they were in, it seemed like things changed.

April 17, 2023We are sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. The health and well-being of our residents is our top priority and we have shared your concerns with our management team for review.
We liked Brookdale Wake Forest and it was a good option. Brookdale was a little far away distance wise, but clean, bright, lively place. The other concern was they provide no transportation. My loved one is a dialysis patient and needs to go 3x/week.
This facility was always fairly clean. The staff was very friendly. It didn't have that nursing home feel like so many others do. It was a little pricey, but you get what you pay for.

We really like the staff a lot, but there have been a lot of changes and turnover. They have overlooked baths and the medication was a mess for a couple of weeks. They give the meds so late that by the time they get to her hall it it 10 o'clock. She does complain a lot about the food as well. They do not get a lot of meat and she said they seem to be cutting back. We do wish that they had coffee available to the residents. The snacks that they load in the dining room are almost always empty. The facility itself is very clean and we really like it. It looks like a big house. The activities director is very enthusiastic. They do a lot of activities, we wish that she would participate because she would be a lot happier because they are great. The receptionist [name removed] is extremely helpful and empathetic. Really all of the staff have been great. Overall we do really like it, there have just been some bumps. I would recommend that people check Brookdale out, the medication management is the only issue we have had.

We had a great tour experience with Brookdale Wake Forest. This location does not have independent living, it is assisted living and memory care. We did not think my dad needed this type of care yet. If he did need it though, this would have been the place we would have chosen.
This was a good community. My loved one wanted to be closer to their hometown in another state.
friendly staff. follow up responses about change of condition from mom very quick. always listen when I had concerns and followed my wishes. they took a bunch a stress away.

This is a good place to go. The staff, activities stand out to me to make it a good place. They could improve on the cleanliness of the resident's room, and laundry. The people there are so nice and friendly.

My 95 year old mother moved into Brookdale in Wake Forest NC in February 2018 to be near to me and she found a “home”. From management to maintenance the staff cared for and loved my mom. The facility was clean and my mom was always treated with dignity and grace. My mother died yesterday and my only regret is that we had not moved her to Brookdale earlier.

Loved this place and enjoyed the tour. Residents were engaged with staff. Would have been #1 choice, but cost was a little more than we expected. Will entertain this option again if necessary. Staff was great.
