Brookdale Rose Valley Scappoose

Ive been here since Oct 2023. The staff is caring, helpful always have a smile on their faces. The activity director always wants to do what we the residents, are interested in foremost. I feel very safe and cared for here at Brookdale, my new home.

Just a year after losing my spouse of 33 years to cancer, I fell at home and was severely injured. While spending 6 months in a nursing home to recover, my family and doctor decided I should be in assisted living. I was broughts to Brookdale. Everyone on staff, and the residents were so friendly! I was amazed at the wide array of activities avaiibe! So much more than bingo! If roces myself to get involved as a way to be useful. Now just a year later I am assisting the actiies manager. My life is far more full and enjoyable than it has been in some time. I look forward to many more years at Brookdale!

I'm happy with it. I'm close to my family. I love it. I get 3 meals a day and I don't have to do it. My apartment is nice and there are plenty of places to walk.

I have no cons everything has been as good as it can be. The food is good. I like comradery with other residents and the staff. I like all the staff.

I think the activity dept has improved. Everything from bus trips to games, lots to do. Thes staff is friendly and helpful.

Everyone is friendly. If I have a problem they try to fix the problem. I like visiting with other residence. Happy with food, accomodates my food preferences.

I feel very safe here. Love the residents & Caregivers. Caring & wonderful. They my dog. help care of Communication with Kitchen, Staff understanding of special foods. Dietary needs are met.

It's a great place. We picked because of the closeness. I would recommend to others. Staff can be cantankerous.

I would definitely recommend Brookdale Rose Valley Scappoose, as long as they can respond to maintenance problems in a timely manner. Everyone there is very friendly and accommodating. The residents there are very friendly, but a lot of them have the same complaints about not getting work done. It's a beautiful facility and gardens, a place I would love to live one day. It's close to anything you could need and their activities keep them as busy as they want to be. My mom was in Independent Living, but I had to stay with her for a while, and I saw lots of examples of creative and caring techniques for their Assisted Living residents. The food was good, but not consistent everyday. That is probably due to kitchen staff turnover. Compared to most in the area, this facility cost is a good value.

We chose Brookdale Rose Valley because they were able to get her in right away. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They implemented some programs that were not available and we really liked that. One of the downsides was during the whole lockdown, they did not do a lot to continue to keep the residents engaged or keep their minds active.

This is a good place. People feel safe here and they were always professional and kind here. My loved one did not participate in many activities but she did participate in one and won a prize that she liked a lot.

My dad lives here. loves the staff but, food is awful!

wonderful independent living cottages. Like a mini subdivision, definitely has the feel of a community. Services and high quality cottages are well priced for the metro area.

This looked like a nice community when I visited. The people I met were nice and knowledgable. They offer daily activities and some nice amenities. The community we chose was in a better location for us.

Pro's: Friendly staff, Independent living cottages. Con's: Food good, but not impressive, building reasonably maintained, young staff person smoking outside front entrance while with residents.
