Brookdale Robinwood

The facility itself is well maintained, clean, and smells nice. Everything works as it should. There are nicer facilities out there, but this one is very nice for the price. The staff are courteous and helpful. The top managers seem to run the facility well and hire intelligently. Most food complaints are due to the richness of the food. Simpler and more old fashioned fare would suit the residents better. The activities are basic, Uno and Bingo. Introduce more day trips to local places/stores.

Good experience, Good people. Dad does not participate in most activities (says they're for the women), but I can't say anything about that. Everyone we've come in contact with is very helpful and tries to make things work out, even if it seems a bit complicated.

Overall it's a good place and the staff is really very kind. The facility is clean and the meals though they lack w ough variety must be good because Mom complains very little about that. The one area that I wish they would step up on is more activities, though they do have quite a few now.

My mom came to live here in [date removed] and after settling in Brookdale Robinwood became her home. The staff here was beyond what I could have hoped for in her care. She had had a stroke that affected her speech, but she could still communicate. She loved all of the activities that went on. As time passed dementia began to set in but she didn't let that stop her. She would reach out her hand to everyone she passed to say hello. In her final week not only was family holding a vigil but also the staff and fellow residents. They all loved her so much and the kitchen staff made sure the family had drinks and snacks to make us more comfortable during this difficult time. After she took her last breath, her memorial service was held here with all of the people that loved her so much. I cannot say enough about Brookdale Robinwood. Through my time here I saw the compassion and caring that is top notch. Now I am proud to say that I am one of the staff to pass on the care and compassion.

Toured for family member who we believed needed assisted living care. Unfortunately my family member needed skilled nursing. If my family member was able to be in a community, this would be the one! Everyone was so friendly and spoke to us during the tour. Community looked and smelled fresh. Highly highly recommend.

My grandmother was a past resident, i can't speak enough about the care. Staff were always so welcoming and kind to my family. We enjoyed the time we spent with her at the community and highly recommend those looking for senior living options.

My family had a wonderful experience with the quality of care and staff at Brookdale Robinwood. It was very apparent that she received quality services throughout her time at the community. Highly recommend this community.

General facility is very clean. Have had inconsistent quality and timeliness of individual room cleaning. The staff and quality of care seems adequate for the limited care family member requires. Family member does not like many of the menus. Meals have a strong local flavor. Alternate hot food entrée not offered. Family member often ends up eating sandwiches. This is certainly not worthy of the cost. Nor is it nutritionally balanced. I know that depends on her choosing and eating, but if more choices were offered I think it would help. Activities are Available. Limited participation. Poor advertisement/communication of special activities - other than the routine weekly scheduled. Unable to rate value for cost This is our first experience. Nothing to compare to.

What our family likes the most about the Brookdale Robinwood community is that the staff provide quick attention to our loved one when she needs it. However, an area they could improve on would be with the meals - specifically the quality and meal selection. With that improvement we would recommend this community to others.

The entire building needs updating. The price is outrageous. They do nothing for my mom, so she essentially is paying for a room at [fee removed] a month. The staff is wonderful, but admin has a deaf ear to any complaints and never strives to make anything any better. Sometimes, they run our of food...no eggs one day, no bacon for 2 or 3 day, no juice another day. Paying that much for a single room, seems like they should always have enough food.

The staff have been excellent. The activities director [name removed] is a great guy and is very active as far as his motivation goes and is super friendly. They have plenty of activities provided such as bible study, church services, outings on the bus, bingo, etc. They are also having a cookout this Sunday for fathers day. I do think that they could do better on the food choices especially for those on modified diets. My loved one is on a hospital diet and the choices are somewhat repetitive for her. They are able to choose from a menu for the meals, the biggest meal is lunch and the lighter meal is dinner. I would definitely recommend Brookdale Robinwood to other families who are looking.

The things they promise when you first meet them change drastically once you sign on the dotted line. Beware. Read the fine print.

I agree with another reviewer. They are there to SALE you a product that they are not able to follow through with. Highly mismanaged.

It is very misleading what they tell you when you go in. They are sales people that are truly just selling it to you and they do not follow through with any promises that are made. We are very unhappy with the facility.

The staff was very friendly and the feeling we got when we toured was very comfortable and I think I would like to be here if I need senior living. Communication was very good and if there are any issues they will call and let me know immediatly I would recommend the community to others.

My sister and I have this conversation often and we feel comfortable about placing my loved one there. The other reason is that my loved one is happy and she's made friends. I found out that my loved one is participating in the exercise class, and she plays cards. The socialization will be better after COVID restrictions I had a nurse tell me that this community was the best one, and have seen the same. The people that work there, and told the director that there is one individual that treated my loved one and helped her through the loss of her partner.

I love the staff, they are excellent. They are so concerned about everything with the residents. I don't worry about my father while he is there. the staff keep me very informed. The community is exactly what an assisted living should be for a person needing one. This was the first community we visited and the one we went back to because of the good feeling we got from the people there. We like the size of Brookdale as well. The activities director is absolutely wonderful. My father loves living there and I could not have found a better place for him.
