overall nice facility; however room sizes are a little small and I think at this time my mother is still independent enough that she could be in an independent living facility

My father is definitely thriving at Brookdale Paddock Hills. He's more alert and responsive. I took good care of him when he was in my house but I couldn't give him the interaction with people his own age which he gets at Brookdale. I am happy with my choice. He's in the memory care wing which is a bit harder to deal with. I often find him in clothing that is not his and doesn't fit that well but when I said something about it they immediately made strides to correct the situation. He was never a very outgoing person but he has made friends with the other residents which is more than I expected. He's on a fixed fee for his care which makes the cost more manageable for his depleted finances. Overall I'd say that things are going very very well. Thank you for directing us there.

My husband has lived here since March 2018. He has adjusted well, due to the good care. He has congestive heart failure and dementia (mild). I highly recommend this to anyone looking for loving care.

Visited on [date removed] - The facility was clean, the staff was friendly, the prices were more reasonable than around the villages. I still think that it's too soon for memory care for mom, I will keep this place is in consideration.

This is a well-established community in the SE part of town. The tour was thoroughly adequate, as are the rooms and facilities. I must say the complimentary lunch was less than impressive, though. The tour manager was pretty new, and not yet familiar with the prices of various senior needs beyond the basic room.

Although this facility was not as "chic" as some I have seen in the past I was enamoured with the staff. It was a clean facility and I just felt at home and also felt there was a feeling of warmth from staff to patient and vice Versa. So long story short I signed on with them and [Removed] will be moving there just after mid January.

My Mom is a new resident at this facility. She became a resident during the hurricane mess. They were very accommodating. They were able to get her room set up till I was able to get her furniture there. The complete staff was wonderful in making her comfortable and welcoming and seeing to her needs.

I had a nice and very professional tour with the community. However, the community seemed hospital oriented. Resident were in wheelchairs and walkers and right now he did not need that type of care. They were not the best fit for my dad.

The experience is doing well. I do feel my mother is safe, and in good hands. Everything has worked out well.

I really like living here at Brookdale Paddock Hills. I am very comfortable and have everything I need. I would highly recommend this community.

My Dad stayed here for a two weeks respite. He had a great time and the staff was wonderful. I will repeat this experience when we need to be gone on extended trips again.

It is still a work in progress for my mother with her move to this community. I do have my concerns about the lack of care she is receiving. The staff is not attentive to her, and her needs. She has only had one shower since her move to this community. I do not feel it is fair to my mother, because she pays a lot of money to stay in this community. The people are nice, but they are not taking good care of my mother.

This facility is wonderful. Mom and I had lunch with [Removed] and we also had time with [Removed]. It was a very productive day. I am 100% Comfortable leaving my mom here for respite care in May and December thanks to [Removed] and [Removed].

My mother in law is doing okay since her move to this community. There has been a couple of set backs, but overall we are pleased with all they have done for us. We know she is receiving good care. The staff for the most part is good. The experience is going well for us here at this community. Overall it is a community I would recommend.

During my tour of the Brookdale Paddock Hills, I noticed that it was very clean and maintained well. The tour guide was very nice and was able to give me good information as well as answer my questions. They took us around and showed us the rooms and common areas. It was a good experience.

This is a nice community. The staff is nice, but there is a lack of communication. I feel like she might need some additional assistance or more staff. They offer healthy meals and a good variety. They have a lot of activities that she is offered to participate. She likes the happy hours and music. there is a nice outdoor area that is enjoyed. The community is very clean. I would recommend this community for other families to tour for good care.

I had a VERY pleasant experience here. The building has only ione floor, which I like. It was well maintained. The rooms were large, and the residents said they really loved it there. Athena was quite enthusiasti. All in all, this was an imopressive experien ce.

We absolutely love this community! My sister and I live out of state with no other family to care for my mom. We were at wits end as what to do about our mom. My sister worked closely with Athena and moved my mom into the facility within days! Athena went above the call of duty to help my mother and in doing so has been an answer to prayer, an earthly angel, for my sister and I. Words fail to express the thankfulness we have for all Athena has done to help us all through an extremely difficult time. She is a valuable asset to the company and we are extremely grateful she was here to help our family.

My sister and I live in PA while our mother lives in Florida. The family member she had been living with passed away. Her grief affected her ability to take care of herself and due to our own illnesses and financial circumstances getting her the help she needed was difficult, to say the least. Thanks to the staff at Brookdale Paddock Hills in Ocala, in particular their sales manager - [Removed], all our concerns were resolved within 3 days. This was after 2 1/2 years of hitting brick walls ( Ex: We would order home help for our mother, which she asked us to do, but when they showed up she would cancel the service). Our mom was hospitalized, then we were suddenly given notice that she was to be discharged soon and would need help. Thanks to [Removed] at A Place for Mom and Brookdale/Athena our Mom was moved to a very nice studio Apt in their ALS unit. Their services and care have been excellent and at a reasonable price. We were able to set everything up via the internet, fax, & phone. Our mom loves it there!
