Brookdale Mt. Lebanon

My sister is moving into this community tomorrow into her own apartment. The value is great. The location is close to shops. This is great for walking and close to public transportation. The grounds are kept up well. There is always someone willing to take care of any issues for me. The people are great here. They have a full kitchen in my apartment. The food is great, and they serve three meals a day.

This is a nice facility but was undergoing construction when I visited. The major problem I encountered was the price

What a wonderful experience ! [name removed] was so kind and made my mom [name removed] and I feel so welcome and comfortable. We are praying hard with financial help we hope to get from the Veterans Administration, Mom & Dad can afford to move into Brookdale Mt.Lebanon.

Brookdale is a beautiful, accommodating independent community. The residents seem friendly, the food is reportedly excellent, and the location is central to so many places and families in the south hills. We did not choose Brookdale, mainly because it is further than a competitor right in our neighborhood. The staff seemed informed and helpful. Thank you for the support and information.

Only a few of the rooms have walk-in showers. The pool has a chair to help people in and out. They have a therapist office on the third floor. They only offer two meals a day.

This is a very nice community, bright, clean open and the staff are very friendly. My mom has just recently moved in and she is still going through some adjusting. She really likes her room and with her furniture all moved in it feels more like home for her. Together with the staff, we have been encouraging mom to start taking part in the activities so that she can start making friends and to go to the dining room during mealtime, but she is still not comfortable doing that so they do bring her meals to her room. Mom was used to the aides that came to her home and stayed to visit with her so she thought it would be the same here, and we explained one of the reasons for her move here was so that she could make friends with the other residents. It will just take time some time and the staff really are working with her. I would definitely recommend taking the tour here to see the community first hand.

Facility is nice and sales team is good. If your loved one is truly independent (and getting in and out of a tub is not a problem or will become a problem), this could be the place. If you're looking for a facility to provide extra supports with an eye towards assisted living, you may want to keep looking. This facility's main focus is on independent living. Four of the five large floors are set up for it. We found the care we scheduled from the facility inconsistent and had difficulty handling issues through management. It's a nice, but tight knit community. Making a large and expensive decision like this isn't easy. Brookdale didn't work out for us but it's worth looking at. Good luck.

I had a great meeting with [Removed], she was very knowledgeable. The property was beautiful - looked much like a hotel.I appreciate the add on amenities ( med reminders, personal care assistance, etc) Again I need first floor with outside access for the dog which may be hard to come by.They have a lot to offer, I have to be careful of finances. They anticipate client needs and have a plan to address situation. Definitely a contender

I toured this community for my mom's care. The staff was helpful in showing me the community that was clean and maintained. We liked the menu of the variety of meals. They had nice rooms, but my mom wanted a bigger size room for comfort. The community I would recommend for families to tour for care

We would of like this community for care. The staff were friendly and caring to the needs of the residents. The menu and the activities would have been offered. This was more then what we could afford.but would of like the care offered for mom

I had a nice tour of this community. My tour guide was kind, and informative. All my questions were answered. The staff was very friendly, and polite. From what I saw they do a good job with the cleanliness, everything looked great. I did find another community that met our needs better, but my tour of this community was a good one.

The staff are very friendly and like it very much the care. My mother-in-law thinks the community is great. She plays bingo often and she is not missing any meals. They have outings to take the residents shopping. She is thriving and looking her best. It is a wonderful experience for her.

This looked like a nice community when we visited. This community has 2/3 independent living residents and 1/3 personal care residents. The residents are a mix of retired professionals - engineers, nurses, teachers, priests. To us, it felt like the community was designed for independent living, and personal care was added as an afterthought, segregated on a different floor.This community was farther away than we were looking for and I did not feel it was the right fit for mom.

I am glad to know that my brother is happy at this community. He likes the staff who are attentive and very friendly. The meals are outstanding and he is happy with the variety. They have him involved with alot of nice activies that he is enjoying. We like knowing that the community is clean inside and out. We would recommend this community to other families for care and value for a loved one.

We liked the Brookdale a lot. It was better than the community that we chose but what we did not like was the location. Had it not been for that reason, my loved one would have chosen this community. The tour guide was very good, they gave us a lot of information answered all of our questions.

When I toured the Brookdale, I thought it was a beautiful place. It was absolutely fabulous. They would not take my uncle because he has dementia, but I was still impressed with the place.

My aunt stayed here and absolutely loved it. Staff is very friendly and attentive.

This is a nice place that my father stayed at for a short time. He was taken care of by excellent staff who showed that they were caring and very friendly to his needs. They did offer activities for him to participate, but he was not willing. The food was good, but they need to pay attention to specials diet needs. I have recommended this community to other families for good care.

This was a clean community and they had the right level of care. The apartment came with a kitchen. I saw that it is a very nice community. They provided 2 meals, breakfast and dinner. We did not choose because it was too far from the family.

My mother-in-law has lived at Brookdale for 4 years now so to make the decision to move my mother there was a very easy one. I know both my mother and mother-in-law are happy to see other people their age and interact with them is like high school for them.
