Absolutely love Brookdale!!! This is the best solution for you if you want to be close to Stuart/Jensen Beach. It's the closest you can get to a true family experience!!! The staff tries very hard to make you and your family member who's living there to be happy and well cared for. Right from the start your family member gets a "red carpet" treatment. They are greeted by the entire staff at the door walking on a true red carpet!!! Each person welcomes them and off they go to their room. For the next two weeks the staff tries hard to escort them in all the activities each day and dining experiences. The nursing care is caring with lots of hugs and upbeat attitudes. If additional care is needed they are on it and tell you ASAP! I recommend Pinnacle at home care if you need it! My mom has needed wound care since she's been there and they are the best!... Our family has able to do an in person tour and our experience was good. It was a very nice facility, but our loved one has dementia and we just thought the community was way to big.
I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones, it's not perfect. The community is clean, well lit, cheery, food is good, and most of the staff are good. There are a few people can lack empathy. I would like this to see improvement in the empathy department. It would be nice to have more of the doctor care, rather than a Nurse or Nurse practitioner.

Overall we have been pleased so far with our experience and the care she is receiving at Brookdale Jensen. We chose this facility because of the value for the money and the room sizes, they are very large and spacious. The rooms also have a washer and dryer in the rooms which is great. The director on down are all very nice from the beginning and accessible and they have remained so. They have been great with communication and keeping us up to date if anything happens and are quick to answer. I would absolutely recommend them.

They are in the process of redecorating, so it will be nice and fresh. It was clean. The tour was disorganized, we wanted to know how many residents there were and they could not tell us. The residents weren't really out and about. Beautiful setting.

We chose Brookedale at the time because of the location. She is in the one smallest room on the first floor because that is all that was available, but it is good for her needs. They do seem short staffed quite a bit, but everyone has been very nice and helpful. Overall. I would recommend depending on what you are looking for. It is very reasonably priced compared to others we looked into.

It would depend on the person going. I feel that if your loved one is more independent this community would be better. Your loved one needs to be able to speak up themselves. The dining room is open and available for the residents to go eat, and the food is ok. The staff is very nice.

The community's response to the Covid-19 pandemic has been good. They are always wearing masks, they make sure to wipe all surfaces regularly, and the cleaning crews are often seen out and busy. The have done a wonderful job keeping the community clean. The staff at Brookdale is very friendly; they learn the ins and outs of all the residents and are very responsive and accommodating. The care is great. They have really stepped up to accommodate for my mother and her limited ability. If you call and have a concern, even if they cannot immediately fix it, the staff takes the time to listen and always entertain your concerns. The activities are great as well. Shopping trips, dinner trips, live entertainment, and bingo are all common! They work very hard to try and keep costs down for the residents, while maintaining a high level of care.

Never in my life would I expect what happened to my father here I had an excellent meeting with [name removed] and the nurse [name removed] my dad passed everyting he had to do. We took three days going over places to stay and from Thursday [date removed] I was told he would be paying the $195 level of care that INCLUDED two showers a week , meds given to him at station which only is two of them, help with dressing and they put him on toilet three times a day. This was all included, for the higher price of $195. I asked over a three day period to the nurse and to the sales rep, and Yes $195 a day. Our move-in date was today [date removed], and I get a phone call at 845 am that now the care is an extra $82 a day. I nearly flipped that is another $1148 for two weeks? Are they insane? Who sets a price and on move in a day increases it? Only a company that is money-driven and not care driven. It was a verbal contract with more than one person and I have witnessed and their own brochure says clearly $150 to $195. The upper limit is clear... not added fess on move in day. Who in their right mind would even be employed by such a poorly run company? I contacted corporate and have a case number and [name removed] didn't have the courtesy to even call me herself to tell me the increase. The sales rep said no one has ever paid more. I asked for a call from [name removed] the division of operations and no phone call to me. How rude can someone be.? I will keep follwing up with their coperate office, I will surely let them realize they are making a family's life miserale not that they even care. When you have to make such horrible decisions for your family there should be compassion and comfort, not a dollar sign to get more from the eldely SHAME ON YOU BROOKDALE YOU ARE A DISRESPECTFUL HORRIBLE COMPANY TO DO THIS TO OUR SENIOR POPULATION. IF i CAN GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR i WOULD , MORE LIKE A FALLEN STAR. KARMA IS ALL I CAN SAY ,,,,,, ALL OF YOU HAVEV PARENTS AND THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU ALSO!!!!! AND IT SHOULD

I am SO disappointed with what has happened with this place. My Mother moved in before Brookdale took over and we loved it. There are wonderful staff members here on the day shift and afternoons but am not sure about nights. Cleanliness is so-so. Most of the nursing staff is excellent and the food recently is Much better, But the staff runs the building the way they want to. Many residents have left and some have died recently. Such a shame. This place a few years back was Full and Happy. Still some very good staff make this a possibility for those who want this location.

Please look around for memory care residences that have real activities and enough help to properly take care of your loved ones The employees try their best but are so shorthanded and all the promised improvements from higher ups never get done We moved our mom to a wonderful new memory unit and she smiles again Corporate policy at brookdale seems cash oriented

It's a sin I have to give any stars to leave a review. This place is a house of horrors. My Grandma went here for a 2 week respite stay so my Dad could have surgery. After 4 days, she left in a body bag!!! There is new management every couple of months and the current air head is the worse I've ever seen!

My respite stay here was so depressing that I left after just two nights. The care here was so bad, the food awful and I just did not fit in with any of the other residents, in fact, the other residents were just sitting around waiting for the end.

My experience was with Respite Care for my mother for three weeks in June 2017 at the Jensen Beach location of Brookdale. The sales rep [Removed] was very helpful and answered all my questions even when she had to find out the answer. She had not been with Brookdale long(6 months +/-) and was no long working there by the time I returned. The room was serviceable but sparse even for respite care. The following items were missing and in my opinion should have been provided: Table - (there is an alcove where one should have been) Dishes/silverware - (at least one set)I understand most meals are eaten in the dining room however, tea or a snack may be taken in the room - why would you provide a stove & refrigerator but no dishes? Microwave - this would be far more appropriate than a stove End table - a small table next to the recliner just makes logical sense - I had to bring my own The day she took up residence it took at least 24 hours for Brookdale to provide the call button she was to carry with her - the first day is the day she probably needed it the most for questions. During her stay she misplaced her cell phone(and forgot how to charge it) and I had extreme difficulty getting help for her. Brookdale does not encourage talking to the girls who clean the rooms and usually they are the most knowledgeable and helpful when it comes to helping the residents. I also left several messages during her stay with questions I needed answered and rarely, if ever was my call returned - I had to keep calling back until I could find someone who was available. Based on what I was told by the sales rep and the office manager, I am under the impression that Brookdale Jensen Beach has very little experience leasing respite care rooms. The three weeks my mother was a resident were relatively uneventful and therefore acceptable however, I am not confident they would be able to handle a difficult or unusual situation in a prompt, professional manner. The premises were impressive and clean. My mother said the meals were excellent. I think she would have joined in with more of the activities with a little encouragement. If there was an activities director I never saw nor heard from them. It is my impression that they were very understaffed, at least in the management area. My mother was a resident at another facility for several years so I have some experience for comparison. Hope this helps.

Our tour of this community was a nice one. Everyone was kind, and friendly to my family, and myself. The staff was polite, and informative. Our questions were answered. The community from what we were shown looked nice. It was a nice experience, but we find another community that suited our needs better.

Very nice facility, but too pricy for us. I think a one bedroom is $3800/month for independent living.

So far, things are going well and in having a positive experience with this place. The staff is all as friendly as can be, and everyone else is very kind. The apartment I am in is comfortable, with great lighting and housekeeping once a week. I have a friend who also lives here, and we join activities together and she has helped me with settling in. I am happy so far.
