My Mom, [name removed] was at Brookdale Franklin for about 15 months. She loved the community and people. However, after 2 rent increases of nearly 10% each time, the cost became unsustainable. The staff at Brookdale was exceptionally caring and engaged with the residents. They did an excellent job with special activities and outings. The facility is showing signs of wear/age, but is nicely maintained. [facility removed] is a newer facility, but there are ongoing challenges with food quality and a shortage of servers. The Executive Director needs to be more visible and engaged with the residents.

Staff and residents are SO FRIENDLY. They are all like one big family. Residents watch out for each other and are very supportive. Weekly housekeeping is great. Move in was easy as my mom's apartment is right next to the Exit. Communication is good. The food could be better. Definitely not terrible, but there's room for improvement. They have a good variety though. Kitchen and dining staff are very attentive. Lots of activities. My mom says she falls into bed, exhausted, each night. I would DEFINITELY recommend Brookdale Franklin.

The overall experience so far has been excellent and we would recommend the community to other families looking for a place for their loved ones.

If I was talking to a friend about Brookdale Franklyn, I would say that is great for independent living! It's an awesome place to be. The staff encourage residents to be out of their rooms in in the community areas, talking and communicating with one another. The staff will also check on the residents if they are struggling, especially during the night. You can't find many places that will go out of their way to sit with you and help you through things overnight. I only had one meal and it was good, but there for a time it was a buffet. My loved one did not care for the buffet style, but they have gone back to the menu dining options and my loved one raves about breakfast and lunch! The staff always keeps me updated on the status of my loved one. My loved one feels that she is heard and a part of the extended family at Brookdale. The one thing that really shines is the sense of community, comradery and family. You can see that they care for each other and want the best for one another.

We really like the welcoming nature not only from the staff and residents but just the community as a whole. Everyone has been very accommodating and it does not feel "clicky" at all. Based on our experience we would recommend this community to other families. We will say an area of opportunity to improve on would be the dining options. We do believe they are working on it and are committed and open to receiving feedback - when the meals are good they are good but when they are not, they are more mediocre.

We had a great tour experience with Brookdale Franklin. The staff did a wonderful job of showing us around and had answers to all of the questions that we had. For us it just came down to a matter of accommodations and we felt another facility fit what they were looking for better.
We visited Brookdale Franklin twice. The food was great, and we liked that the dining room was open all the time. The only negative is my loved one would have had to go outside to smoke. But this was my favorite of all the places we visited. I really wanted him to go here.
We have lived here close to 3 years. The staff has gone beyond in protecting us from the virus. The first time we looked the residents were welcoming and sincere. The food is very good especially home made soups, homemade scones, variety on the daily menus. Large open dining room and excellent personable wait and kitchen staff and chef. During normal times there is bingo, several card games, Happy Hour inn Fridays, pool table games, great library, exercise classes, great crafts classes and areas for just plain enjoyable conversations. There are knowledgeable Resident Ambassadors (residents who have lived here for a while)assigned to new comers to help make the transition easier and helpful. We like that this is a one building community and areas to walk or sit outside. We thoroughly enjoy being here.

The staff members at the community would be a ten out of ten. From the minute we did the online tour and spoke with the individuals who worked there, it just felt like home.

We were invited to lunch and we met the chef. He was very accommodating of our and other's eating preferrances. The 2 bedroom apartment we viewed was large with a nearly full kitchen. Though there are no balconies there is an active garden club with space in an outdoor courtyard. They have a limit of two pets per apartment.

We really loved this place as soon as we stepped in the front door. It was warm, welcoming and it smelled good, just like a house should smell during Christmas time. [Removed] was wonderful to work with. Really hoping that my mother loves it after she moves in. I have a feeling she will.

They have nice activities and there is a nice Church on the property. They offer a lot of nice activities that are offered on site and away. I would recommend this community for a nice

Overall our experience with Brookdale Franklin has been a good one, it is a very nice place overall. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and the staff are all very friendly and professional. I feel that they work very hard to develop a nice sense of community, the staff put in extra effort treat each residents as an individual and with the respect that they deserve.

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale Franklin 8.6 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
