I've lived at the St. Paul Retirement Center for seven years and couldn't be happier. The food is good, the people are friendly, and the activities are stimulating. The social quotient couldn't be higher. The staff, long time employees, are thoroughly professional, friendly and above all, like their jobs whether helping with electrical tasks, computer or printer assistance, the dining room or housekeeping. Best of all, I've lived in seven states and spent almost nine years abroad via military assignments on three continents and have never experienced a place as quiet as this. Peace is priceless.... My mother stayed at St. Paul for over a year. We were excited for her to move in to St. Paul, but it was not even close to what they sold. We had many issues with the maintenance staff with getting a functioning dishwasher when moving in. Also it took weeks to repair a leaky toilet. St Paul said you were provided a cable box when you moved in, but this was not the case even after I made numerous phone calls and emails to management. If you look around the dated facility you will see numerous areas that should be fixed. Within the year St Paul had to replace chefs as they had high turnover and the food was lacking. They also promised many numerous activities for the residents, but there are few to chose from and are poorly organized. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. It is apparent that profit is their main concern. I wondered why it was hard to find information and recommendations for The St Paul and now I understand why.

A Place for Mom has scored The St. Paul 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
