We love the staff, they're very friendly. The nice residents have also helped her to adapt. The food is not that great. Hate to say that, but for what people pay in any of these facilities, dining should be something they can look forward to.... Read more

We liked this one after our virtual tour - it looked pretty good. The only downside was that for the money, our loved one would have had to share a bedroom here, and we ended up finding a place where she could have a shared apartment with her own bedroom.
I was completely disappointed with this place.

When they did have activities they were good, however due to COVID they have had to limit them. First impression of the staff was that they were good, we were impressed. Our loved ones room is adequate.

If we could give the staff members a ten out of ten we would, they were very efficient with getting everything started and rolling. The rooms at this community are really good, and the food that they served was overall okay.

It is a place worth considering. The food was very good. My loved one is in mare. The room sizes seem to be adequate. They have limited outdoor space. So far it has been a positive overall experience.

We were impressed with this facility. And, with [name removed], who offered us lots of information and guidance. It is disappointing that we cannot visit in person though.

The staff are very family oriented. They really loved the residents as well as their families and friends who visited. The staff made everyone feel welcomed and they were very accommodating. Our dad ate so well there. He really liked the food and they offered a nice variety and menu options for the residents. We chose this community because we really liked the home atmosphere, it was smaller, and they really treated everyone like family so you weren't lost in the shuffle. The staff addressed everyone by name. It's really a wonderful place.

My parents both moved into Brookdale Gardens about 3 weeks ago and they love it! My mom has dementia and she is making friends, participating in activities and is truly thriving in her new home. She loves the attention that this small environment gives her. We chose Brookdale due to its small size and the fact that they have memory care available when she needs it. My dad can stay in the assisted living section when the time comes and they can still be together in the same building. The staff there is wonderful! The administration, nurses, and caregivers are kind, caring people. They keep me informed: good or bad! My dad was recently admitted to the hospital and they took such good care of my mom while he was hospitalized. My Dad likes that he can talk with other veterans and have a break from the constant care my mom needs. Although it was a difficult decision to move them from our home, it was the best decision for everyone. I would recommend Brookdale to anyone who needs assisted living or memory care. The price is fair and the care is above and beyond our expectations.

The Brookdale facilities do not provide restaurant-quality meals but rather rely on "fast food" fare which is not appropriate for senior citizens.

This community was our second choice. The community is older, however it did seem like it was kept clean. They are doing some renovations so we were not able to see the dining room. The people I met were nice.

A great place. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because the renovations are not completed yet which includes the kitchen.

It was good tour at the community. The staff were knowledgeable with all my questions. The biggest downfall was the room. The studio was way to small and they didn't have a one bedroom available.

Everything has been going fine here. The staff works well with my father in law. The food is real good and we even got to try it and not bad at all. The room is always clean and no complaints. My father in law has been going to the musicals that they offer.

We are reasonably satisfied with this community. The staff are nice and there is good communication. My dad is doing better than expected. They are doing a major remodeling but they keep the community clean. I would say the food is a 3 but that may change once the remodel is completed.

I would not recommend Brookdale. My mother was in this facility. I live in Ohio so I did a lot of communication by phone. Nobody would return my phone calls including social workers and physical therapists. It took 4 days for the social worker to call me back. BAD COMMUNICATION! I believe they would not have called me back at all if I had not threatened to report them to the ombudsman. Check out Westminster Manor, the staff is great and so is the facility.

This facility was nice until you are quoted the hidden charges Nd all of a sudden it cost to orderstock store and give medication on top of room and board. Nurse visit for evaluation did not show or call had to call gfs facility to find out she was not coming.

We've had a mixed experience with Brookdale Bradenton Gardens. It is a nice enough looking place, but I believe that the staff could be more reliable and communicative. We've run into multiple instances where if a staff member is out sick or on vacation the tasks they normally do are not delegated to another staff member, they just do not get done. Also many of their posted activities do not end up taking place.

Response from Brookdale Bradenton Gardens
August 10, 2015Thank you for taking the time to visit and share your feedback. We will share your feedback with our management team.
Brookdale Bradenton Gardens seemed like a very nice community. I did take a tour of this community. They were very clean and had a friendly staff. My brother suffers from dementia and I thought this was a very safe place for him. The rooms seemed very nice and clean also. Definitely worth looking into!

A Place for Mom has scored Brookdale Bradenton Gardens 8.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
