Staff is very good, friendly and accommodating. Communication is good so far, Mom has lived there less than 2 months. The move in process was seamless, a wonderful unit on first floor became available and was nicely renovated, after we had placed a deposit on a 4th unit that required a wait. She's very happy with it. Housekeeping is adequate, not exceptional so far. Mom has RAVED about the meals and dining room service. Great selections and quality! The residents have also been wonderful, friendly, and have made the transition so easy. She's made lots of friends. Transportation is also good. Nice drivers. I would, and actually have, recommended to others.

This facility has a lot of issues, especially financially. They even let their COO go so they could save that money. They tell the residents they will be stopping the kosher meals so they can save $[removed], but it hasn't happened yet, although I've been told all but a handful of the residents don't want kosher anyway. Kosher is very limiting on what food you can eat. Do your homework before moving in, or moving a loved one here. It's not only expensive to move twice, but stressful. I did meet a lot of the residents, that's how I got this information, and I must say they are all nice, sweet people. I really enjoyed meeting the residents and spending time with them.

I've had a great experience with Avaiva Senior Living. The staff are kind, caring, and helpful. The residents and staff are very friendly. If I could rate friendliness higher, I would. There are meals and activities to engage with and to meet residents. Overall, I would recommend this community to others.

This was a good community. It was more rehab focused and short stays for the residents.
This facility is old and not maintained well. Staff have been leaving like there's a virus in this facility, but it's due to working conditions. If you are thinking of moving a loved one into this facility, please be sure to check out other places as well. The food is not up to par and 99% of the residents have been complaining about it for awhile. The units aren't cleaned well and the carpets throughout the building are very dirty. There are many activities for residents to participate in, which is a plus. The highlight of this place are the residents. The ones I've met are very warm and caring.

I was not impressed with Aviva. Right when I pulled up it just looked old, crowded and not inviting. When you walk in it is small and feels very institutional. It is very expensive for what they offer and you have to show them 4 years of assets to even move in. It may be the right fit for others, but it definitely was not the right fit for us.
It is very pleasant to be able to attend a concert at Aviva Seniors Living. Thanks a lot to the organizers

A great community full of life and resident involvement. Amazing residents who are so willing to share with each other and the Sarasota community at large. Families are supportive and there are some great volunteers who give generously of their time and talents at Aviva. I've worked here five years and after 30 years in the industry have finally found my home. I would be happy to retire from the workforce here and transition to life as a resident someday!

The moment I walked through the Aviva doors I felt at home. There is a calmness and sense of peace that I knew I wanted to be a part of. A lot of companies and facilities strive to reach this level of accomplishment. Aviva has not only reached it, but surpassed it. This is a "must see" campus to visit when making the difficult decision to place a loved one where more daily assistance is available.

I helped my mom move in to Independent Living at Aviva and she loves it there. There are always activities that keep her socializing and she’s made some great friends with people she can really connect with. I’m glad she picked Aviva.

I would want others to know that for my brother, he was only here for one year and he was very very happy. We were very pleased with the experience at Aviva and I would absolutely recommend to others who are looking.

Another well managed facility. Both staff and residents were friendly. Menu looked very good. Many things to do every day. Would be comfortable living here. Again, cost is the driving factor. 2-BR price is a little over $5000.00/month. We will keeplooking.

My Mom was promised a 2 bedroom for the price of a 1 bedroom and moved in 2 yrs ago. It was promised to her "in perpetuity". That promise was just a sham. They are creatively and effectively increasing her rent astronomically so that she will probably be paying the cost of a 2 bedroom in the near future. Her monthly rent has gone up aprox. $600 per month since she moved in [date removed]. It is my understanding that many others came in at the same time on this "deal" -- its your basic "bait and switch". Otherwise, my Mom loves it at Aviva & really doesn't want to leave, but we are very bothered by their lack of concern about her finances and their unethical billing

Have not visited, but from the information I received, it appears to have all or most amenities and activities I would like. A bit more expensive than most, and the non-refundable administrative upfront fees are high. Being a non-practicing Catholic, I am less interested in the Judaic-oriented activities and related costs for them.

Very self contained and many many services, but it is too far from the things we love-the friendship center and main street in sarasota.
