Brookdale Belle Meade

Meals and dining we have a 4 but my understanding is it's better than most. My goals for my father were for him to maintain as much autonomy and dignity as possible as he navigated his illness. I've never dealt with another facility personally for that length of time but I feel like his dignity was important to them too and that they upheld that as much as possible. And his illness made that challenging.

Brookdale belle meade has been fantastic for my father. He has Parkinson’s, and they have worked really hard to balance supporting his various needs with his desire to have as much freedom and independence as possible. The people who work there are outstanding - kind, thoughtful, supportive, and understanding. This place has been the best, I am so glad we choose Brookdale belle Meade!

The staff is good and friendly. It's helpful to stay on top of housekeeping for my loved one. The communication is good and there is a support group once a month. The staff work hard and are attentive to the residents. It's hard to feed so many people and the meals are hit or miss, but the desserts are good. The activities include outings that I can join. I would recommend this facility to others.

Love this place - trying to get my friends here too. The dining staff and caregivers truly care for their residents. Did not even have to go look anywhere else.

The facility and rooms were always clean. The staff were wonderful. They cared for my husband in such a caring way. They treated him as an individual with his special needs. They were so friendly. They kept me informed about his needs and care. [name removed] was especially kind and went out of his way to engage my loved one.

The care givers, nurses, and entire staff are wonderful people who truly care about my mom and my family. They go the extra step to engage everyone no matter what level of care is needed. I often go visit my mom, 2-3 days a week and find myself there for 3 or 4 hours, having fun with the staff while they take care of the residents. My mother is never bored there. They are always out of their rooms unless it's bed time or they feel someone needs their alone time. At that, my mom will go to her room for a nap every day for 45 mins only, which is my recommendation. Any longer than 45 minutes is not good for her, she needs to have action during the day so she sleeps at night. I love it at Brookdale

I would recommend Brookdale Belle Meade. It's a comfortable and caring place. My mom feels content there. The caretakers are dedicated and hard-working. Our family feels unburdened, so visits are easy and focused on enjoying time with her as opposed to worrying about her care.

I have had patients at Brookdale and it is a wonderful community. The residents are well cared for, the community is clean, and the community is respected as a leader in the senior living field. The Memory Care is one of the best in Nashville. They have multiple activities for the residents to keep the mind engaged.

We really like Brookdale Belle Meade. My loved one has been in a couple of other memory care units and also a skilled care unit, and this is the best of all of them. He has been well cared for. They have been exceptional in how they assess him, determine his own personal challenges, and work WITH him to provide solutions to those challenges.

One of the positives is the staff go out of their way to communicate with you. However, there's a significant hierarchy as well as some turnover, which can make it hard to reach people and experience continuity of care/communication. We've had particular issues regarding making sure my loved one takes her medications. But overall the staff have been very caring. The food is average and not particularly tasty - it's your typical institutional food. There are occasional maintenance issues, but they seem to initiate repairs immediately. And the campus is clean, if a little old. They were redecorating around the time when she moved in and are continuing to make improvements on her floor. It's a pleasant living environment. There are a lot of activities for the residents to do - they go out and visit restaurants and movie theaters, and they have a lot of inhouse entertainment that comes to them too. The staff do a good job of getting the residents up and ready for the day and making sure they're attending meals and staying engaged, especially the ones that are needing more assistance. Despite a few challenges here and there, I have no hesitation highly recommending Brookdale Belle Meade to other families.

We chose Brookdale Belle Meade primarily because of the ability to transition from assisted living to two different levels of memory care all within the same facility. The staff members are very personable, involved, and make us feel like our dad is really the only one there. I would absolutely recommend them to others looking.

The main reason that she chose Brookdale was because they have a small outdoor patio area for my mom. It does not have any sort of kitchen space. The staff are very nice, they do have some turnover though. The sales person who was there when we were getting in was great. It is definitely an assisted living facility, they do not have any independent living mixed in. My loved one is more independent so she does not need much assistance at all and the residents here need more care than she does so she is having a hard time integrating with the community. I would tell others to definitely look into this facility and see if it fits your loved ones needs.

The office staff has been nice and I've been pleased with their patience toward me and my loved one. They send a calendar of activities for the residents and send pictures to families to see what your loved one is doing. The values is excellent. They gave a permanent discount due to the pandemic. It is one of the nicest places I've seen.

Brookdale seems to be a very nice community, our experience has been pretty good so far. They are doing some activities, our loved one was not engaging at first but that has change. The residents are now allowed to leave the community and go out to eat with their families. Our only issues we have ran into would be the services we are paying for. We are paying for special toilet-trees to be provided to our loved one, and we are still having to buy them ourselves. Also we had to be a little more proactive with our loved ones medication management.

We toured a few different communities and this one was nice but not quite the best fit for my mom. The community was very nice clean and well kept. The outside was nice with a courtyard and lovely landscaping.The staff seemed nice and friendly very informative.
