My mom recently moved into the community. The process went smooth from the very first meeting with [name removed], to the day of move in. The nursing team did not miss a beat with managing moms transition after getting out of rehab. She has settled in, has met a few new friends, and is enjoying herself. If friends asked me about a place for their parents, I would definitely recommend Allenmore... Read more

I would not recommend. There are many incidents that did not provide care and in some instances were harmful.

Needs updating and food quality is quite poor. Slow response to call pendants. Direct care staff were very nice. Not a lot of activities in the assisted living section.

My experience with Brookdale Allenmore Senior Living has been less than satisfactory with my elderly parent there since 2023. Poor maintenance and follow up on necessary repairs is one reason, and food quality could be better. I believe facility is understaffed and like all corporations more focused on profits than people. Google BSL CA lawsuit etc. for your own education before choosing this facility. I can’t recommend this facility at this time…

My mother in law moved in here early this year. She is NOT an easy woman to please but I think she would have been happy here with time. Unfortunately, every time she signed up for an activity, it would be canceled for lack of staff. Her cable TV and internet were not working. When we tried to help, we were told it was a problem with the facility. Brookdale provided no help so she felt very cut off with no communication to the outside world. According to her, [name removed] was just too busy dealing with multiple facilities to help a new move-in. She had other complaints. The food really was awful, based on when we dined with her, but the lack of follow through was the main reason she left.

My loved one was a resident at Brookdale Allenmore Assisted Living. It was not a good experience. Specifically, the care was slow...there was no follow through. My Mom was very happy at her previous facility, but we were told that the only way Medicaid would eventually pay was to move her to a place where she could live for at least 2 years and her previous facility did not honor Medicaid. So, we moved her. I'm convinced that she would still be alive had she stayed at her previous facility. I could go on. My brother and I are sorry we had to move her. My mom preferred the previous facility that she was in. I visited my mom several times a week, so I easily saw the day to day goings on.

Moving our father into Brookdale Allenmore has been made easier by the constant communication and help from [name removed], The Community Relations Director. She has been a great help and source of knowledge during this process. She has always made herself available by phone to answer questions. The nursing staff and facility staff have been welcoming to our father as he makes this new life transition. The facility is clean and well maintained. We are happy with our choice to have our father at home in Brookdale Allenmore.

Our experience at the Allenmore location has been great. [name removed] has gone above and beyond, helping us from the start with warmth and patience, answering questions and making the changes we needed. The personal connection she made with my sister made her feel welcomed and confident during this big transition in her life.

We toured Brookdale Allenmore Assisted Living and it was very nice. The atmosphere was great. Everyone was very friendly. The facility was pretty clean. I think they were still getting the room in shape, so it wasn't totally clean. Some of the areas in the kitchenette room were a little worn down, but not too bad. We began the process of filling out paperwork for my loved one to move in, but we were having some issues getting me approved to manage her finances. Also, my loved one's needs became greater than what I felt Brookdale could manage.
The food quality is really poor for what you pay. They do offer Medicare spend-down. There are not a whole lot of activities going on, they are really limited on the shopping and where they go. Overall there are quite a few improvements the facility could make.

Prior to moving into Brookdale Allenmore my dad was battling multiple myeloma, while living with my family in our home. After two spinal sugeries, radiation, chemo & various other treatments he became very weak and couldn't get out of bed. We took him to the ER and he spent a week in the hospital before he was stable enough for a nearby rehab facility. It was during this time that we realized we couldn't safely care for him at our home (and still keep our jobs). The social worker suggested we reach out to "A Place for Mom" who connected us with Brookdale. The staff were incredibly professional yet genuinely friendly and helped us select a room & services that would meet my dad's needs after discharge. Dad had a few setbacks in rehab and unfortunately his discharge was delayed. The Brookdale staff were so kind & understanding and adapted to our timeline (without charging us extra for holding his room). On move in day they ensured everything went smoothly, and Dad loved his new home!

We have been really happy with this community. I feel like my loved one is safe and comfortable and that they take great care of him. They have activities like work out classes, root beer float socials, super bowl parties and more for the residents to do. They seem to keep him busy and every time I go there they are coming to get him to take him to an activity.

The community is neat and clean. I have a balcony to enjoy, and there is plenty of storage. The communication is good and they stay on top of that. The activities have reopened with masks and social distancing. I would recommend this community to others

My client has had a very rough transition due to his multiple scoliosis and the staff has been great in working with him. The main reason we picked this community is that they offer the highest level of assisted care and so my client is able to still be a part of the community and the amenities that they offer should he want to. He does go to the dining area and likes the food for the most part. We are pleased with the care he is getting here.

From what I saw, this is a nice facility! It seems to be well maintained and the staff seem very friendly and ready to help! Though the price did not cater to my loved one's specific needs, I was fairly satisfied with what I saw at this facility.
