August 20, 2024Robert, thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience at Brighton Gardens of Wheaton. We are thrilled to hear that you found our team to be excellent and compassionate, and that you appreciated the cleanliness and maintenance of the community. We look forward to serving you again in the future.
I only dealt with the memory care staff, but they were very experienced and caring. Most of the staff have worked at Brighton Gardens for years, which says a lot about the place.

Our family had an in person tour with Brighton Gardens and it was great but the price point was an issue for us.
I would tell others that the facility is very pleasant. Overall, the staff very helpful and caring. The apartment sizes and accommodations in assisted living are good. I would recommend Brighton Gardens of Wheaton to others looking.

Response from Brighton Gardens of Wheaton
November 5, 2022Hi Customer! Thank you for the wonderful things you said about Brighton Gardens of Wheaton. We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review!
Our family had an in person tour and we thought the tour experience was great, we really liked what we saw but the reason we had to go against it was just the location and the price - it was just to far away and to expensive.

The person who gave us the tour greeted us at the door, did a great job showing us around and convinced our loved one to move in. Our loved one is doing good for himself and he says he is at home here. He is really enjoying the meals and dining service and all the activities. We really like how the staff has meetings with the residents every week to sit down and listen to all their feedback - it makes them feel like they have a voice. Based on our experience we would recommend Brighton Gardens to other families.

October 11, 2022We are so glad, James, that you shared such a wonderful story about how Brighton Gardens of Wheaton has helped you and your loved one. Thank you for taking the time to share this heart-warming message. – The Sunrise Team
I toured Brighton Gardens and I didn't like that when we took the tour they said they could get my wife in for respite care. We needed respite care for a couple weeks to a month, we were looking for a place that would allow her to recuperate after being in the hospital. Everything happened very fast, but a day or two later they called back and said she couldn't stay for respite. That ruined all of their credibility in my book.

Beautiful community but in our situation it would have been too expensive for us. There was just another community that worked out a lot better for us.
This community was good but it was just too far from where I wanted my loved one to be located.
Least attractive location on a busy street. Fully vaccinated staff who were friendly and open. Best combination of price and room layout.

My father was a resident for 8 months before he passed away. I would not recommend this facility at all. We had several bad experiences one was he pulled the emergency cord in the public bathroom on the main floor because he needed assistance after breakfast no one came so he reset it again and pulled it once again still nobody came (so by now 15 minutes passed) so he reset it and pulled it again still nobody came so by now its 30 minutes past the first time he pulled it, so he decided to walk out into the hallway with no pants and finally he was assisted. This bathroom is in the main hallway right by the receptionist and just off the dinning room. Another time he wasnt feeling well (I had the stomach flu so I could not go check on him) we called the nurse in charge to check on him. Her response was in a little while. I called him 1hour later to see if they had been in he said no. So I called my sister she called they said after lunch (which was in about 1 hour) so i called him in 1 hour no one still had not gone in, called my sister she went to check on him questioned the nurse why no one had been in to check him she had no answer. I requested they call me after they check him its now 430pm. This all started at 8am. The nurse said his vitals were fine,I stated you do realize he has terminal cancer his response laughing. "no but I do now". I would not even consider this Place. The charge nurse [name removed] is more concerned about her puppy she brings to work than the residence. Oh becareful where you step the house dog has accidents because no one lets her out when she barks at the door

Of course the rating above is my interpretation, I am not the one living there my mother is. The people seem very friendly and go out of there way to engage the residents. As far as money there are some things that seem a bit pricey for what they are.

My mom swore that she’s never reside in an assisted living facility but there she is and it’s working out. She truly enjoys many of the stafff members and most of the meals. Brighten gardens is a manageable size, not too big. Occasionally her favorite activity is cancelled for no apparent reasons which is disappointing. I also feel the activities are limited. However the activity director is incredibly friendly and caring and loved by all the residents. I recommend Brighton Gardens

I went on a tour here and everything went really well. The staff was nice and friendly. They answered all of my questions. It was clean and tidy. Looked wonderful and it was a little misleading to me. They quoted me one price and we scheduled to move my dad in and then 2 weeks away the added the price of the medicine and he started out with 6 after their review it went from 6 to 10 meds and 2,500 dollars more. So I had to go with other accommodations.

Very warm and friendly atmosphere for an assisted living facility. Bright and cheerful décor with a nice sense of community. Love the activities planned for the residents such as Luau night, Paris night, Disco night. Also great daily activities that include meditation, exercise, current events, clipping coupons for those in need, bowling and religious services.
