Warm and Welcoming Environment!! My mother has been living at Bethesda Gardens Frisco for six months now, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff is incredibly caring, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything she needs. The facility itself is clean, beautifully maintained, and has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. One of the things we love most is the variety of activities available—there’s always something engaging to do, from art classes to group outings. The dining options are excellent as well, with meals that are both nutritious and delicious, catering to her dietary needs. We also appreciate the open communication with staff. Chantel is awesome!! They keep us updated on her well-being and address any concerns promptly. It’s reassuring to know she’s in a safe, supportive environment where she feels at home. Response from Bethesda Gardens Frisco
December 4, 2024Thank you for this wonderful feedback about out community! We are so blessed to have families such as yours as part of ours.
Friendly faith based staff. It's a very clean facility. The kitchen offers several options and it is always great food. The staff continually offers different and multiple daily activities for the residents. Outside entertainment is regularly brought in for the residents to enjoy. There are weekly opportunities to get out to the local stores, restaurants, and community activities all chaperoned and chaufferd by staff. I've been to several other facilities and have seen and heard lots of horror stories but never once have I heard a bad word about Bethesda gardens! Make it your new home or a new home for a loved one you won't be sorry.

November 29, 2024Your review is greatly appreciated. We are thrilled to hear about the exceptional care provided to your Mom at Bethesda Gardens Frisco. Our staff takes pride in creating a warm, family-like atmosphere for all our residents and their loved ones. It's wonderful to know that you are part of the Bethesda family. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us and others. Your kind words mean a lot to our team.
My mom is so happy at Bethesda Gardens. She loves the food! Most importantly, she loves the staff. They treat her with kindness and respect. They talk with her and share in her interests. As her health needs have increased, they have raised her level of care. This new level has greatly improved her quality of life. Bethesda Gardens - Frisco has been a blessing for my mom and our family.

Response from Bethesda Gardens Frisco
November 27, 2024Thank you so much for this wonderful feedback! We are so blessed to have you and your mom as part of the Bethesda Gardens Frisco family!
Bethesda Gardens was good the first month my mom moved in. Then things started to go downhill. The facility is called Assisted Living but has become more of a Nursing Home/Memory Care facility and this place is not equipped for it. Biggest issues are with limited staff and issues with the dining room. If this place was truly Assisted Living then current staffing might not be an issue but since so many residents require way more needed attention than Assisted Living more staff is definitely needed. The place lacks efficiency with the way it runs things and has no plan for when Caregivers call in sick, take vacations or resign. Dining room has very limited staff and even when they use some Caregivers and Med Techs to fill in which is most of the time it still is not enough. Then Caregivers and Med Techs are not available to do the job they were hired to do. The food in the dining room is not great. My mom barely eats what is offered so I end up bringing her food just so she gets some nutrients. She does like most of the deserts and chicken fried steak and taco salad when they are offered. Games are the main form of activities but I hardly see the residents playing them. An outside volunteer group comes in about 4 times a year to set up holiday parties which my mom and many of the residents seem to enjoy. Overall, I am disappointed with Bethesda Gardens.

November 26, 2024I am sorry to hear of your no-so-great experience. We take pride in the care that we give our residents and theirs and their family's happiness. We would like to have the chance to discuss this with you so that we can correct what you feel is wrong. Please call us at 469-362-8545. I look forward to hearing from you.
This is based off of our 2022 experience: All of the staff have been extremely helpful and friendly. As far as the food goes, I believe they did get a new chef and there were some improvements. the administrator was very good. I would recommend Bethesda Gardens Frisco to others looking for assisted living care.

Response from Bethesda Gardens Frisco
November 26, 2024Thank you for your positive feedback!
Bethesda was overall wonderful. The community was amazing. The head nurses are phenomenal. The atmosphere is welcoming and rooms are updated and nice! The only negative was that one of the nurse assistants stole prescription pain medication (Fentanyl) from my father. And another employee stole $[removed] cash out of his wallet. So recommend that everyone have cameras installed. Once I did this, the theft stopped. My father has since passed. But I still would recommend Bethesda.

Hired care staff--not contract. Low turnover rate. We had mom and dad at 4 other places. None are great, but they felt it was the best

My loved one is a resident at Bethesda Gardens Frisco. The main problem, which is not awful, is he does not like the food that well. Sometimes it also takes a long time to be served. Otherwise, would have rated it a 5. This is my take not his, but I think we would be close. We think this is a good place to be. Very few establishments are perfect. but he is relatively happy here with no suggestions other than to improve the food and add a few more food service employees. A lot of the residents have commented on the food.

Other residents there are nice. Caregivers are not. For the most part. I would not choose this place for my mom again.

I would like to take a moment to thank Bethesda Gardens and its staff for wonderful care. I have the advantage of loving close to the facility and am able to visit frequently. The entire team is a joy to work with and I am grateful to each member for their service. Keep up the great work!

Bethesda Gardens Frisco has been a blessing for my mom and our family. After a 4 month stay in the hospital and rehab my mom moved here from Independent Living! The Caregivers at BG have been amazing and treat my mom with love and respect, as they would their own mothers ! I can’t recommend them more highly !

The biggest selling point 15 months ago was the great chef, who cooked from scratch meals each day, and never served the same meal over 3 months. He left around 6 months ago and the quality of food has really gone down. They do offer very good care, and do not charge for every little thing. Staff does get to know the residents and are very friendly. They appear to be having trouble retaining and attracting staff (particularly ones that can give additional help to residents that need it), and they also seem to be cutting costs (now serving things like corny dogs and other junk food regularly rather than good home cooked meals), while increasing the monthly rent. I probably said more on the negatives than I should have. The key thing is that whenever my mom needed anything, they were very good at helping her immediately without charging more. We did recommend them to a friend who needed to find a place for their mother, and I am very glad to have my mom there.

Our family had an in person tour with Bethesda Gardens Frisco and we thought the experience was great and really liked the community, but the apartment and room our loved one would of had was just not as big
Staff is employed by Bethesda and not an agency. Lots of tenure. They do weekly housekeeping (included), but charge to make the beds. They have 3-5 activities per day. Best facility so far and they have been at 3 others. Food is not elevated like other places, but they offer lots of options and are willing to customize if requested. Facility is older but going through renovations. Skeleton crew on weekends which seems to be when things go wrong.

Good community. It was too far from family.
Bethesda Gardens Frisco is an absolutely amazing establishment. The executive team is committed to providing the residents with a wonderful experience. [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], [name removed], and [name removed] went above and beyond to ensure my father's needs were met. The caregivers and med techs treat the residents like family. My father passed in late November and the care and support provided to him was unbelievable. I would recommend Bethesda to anyone looking to place their loved one in a safe and loving space.
the communication between the leadership and the staff as well as the families could definitely be improved. The entertainment, a lot of the residents would like but it has not been very good. They do play games but my mom would like more of a book club which we have suggested. The food started off really good but they have re-vamped it and it has gone downhill some. The business manager who works in the office is great. She is very approachable and quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we have. They are in the middle of refurbishing the facility and it is loud, but once it is done it will be very nice. We are very understanding and for the money is it a lot better than her previous facility for sure.

A Place for Mom has scored Bethesda Gardens Frisco 9.3 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
