I've always talked up Artesian Place and recommended it. It's a terrific place. One of the biggest reasons why I chose it was because it was clean, and it didn't smell like some of these types of places can. Not having gone inside any further than the lobby since the Fall, the lobby area is always clean and refreshed and kept up-to-date. I noticed new chairs and flower pots, which I was pleased with. They are off the scale for friendliness. My family members have never been healthier. Artesian place helps them with showering, administers all their medication, and all that good stuff. The staff laugh with us, and I always experience happy people there. These people are amazing. The woman running the place has never not been available to me. She always takes my calls, and she's called me with any concerns she's had. She can be gruff, but she's aware of everything and knows what's going on. She gets things done. The staff is always cheerful, and we laugh a lot. The head maintenance man is on top of everything and knows everything as well. He's never once complained about any heavy item I've asked for help with in getting to my loved ones' room. He's just terrific. I wish I could tip them! But it's against policy. I've tried the food, and we tried it at all places we looked at. I'm a foodie, and found the food to be pleasant - not too salty, and the meals were balanced. The residents can also get whatever they want, whenever they want it. My family members don't really participate in the activities, but I do know they're offering some. I've seen people working on puzzles. The only issue I've had is that my family members' care level increased, and so did the cost. And Artesian Place didn't let me know. The first I knew of it was when my loved ones' checkbook wasn't balancing. It just would have been nice to have a heads up. I looked into how much it would be for them to go into nursing home care, and even with the cost increase, Artesian Place is still a great value. It's such a convenient location as well, just down the street from all their medical care.... Read more

Good community, with less choices for meals.
Food is disgusting. No fresh food ever. Activities are a joke. Tired of coloring Staff does not follow through. Some of the staff care about us residents. Many don’t. Management is all about lip service, never listen to residents concerns. Housekeeping is not dependable. No transportation to dr appointments During Covid there’s no communication from management.

I would tell others to check out Artesian Place. They do take medicare as payment. The willingness to work with us for our loved one's placement is something that stands out to me. The staff are always great to deal with over the phone.

I would recommend this community. The rooms were a good size, the food was pretty good. The outside looked good and there are places to walk.

The staff and just as important, the people living there seem to be quite friendly and had a lot in common with [name removed]. The staff was friendly and professional and he is moving in after Christmas. Remind me in six months and I can be more definitive but it looks like a good fit.

We were very unhappy with the outside of the place so we did not even bother to stop. It needs cleaning up for sure to make it look more approachable.

My brother and I loved this facility. [Name removed] spent 90 minutes talking to us and showing us around the building. The current rates are great, and Mom very excited about Artesian Place when we described it to her. She is looking forward to seeing it early next week.

My friend loves living here. The staff loves him they wish they could duplicate him. They know the residents by name and they make them feel valued and important. The staff also makes the friends and families feel welcome. The community just went through a remodel so everything looks nice and brand new furniture in all the common areas. My friend likes the food but then again he will eat most anything. The best thing I like is that it is within walking distance from where I live.

This one is on the top of our list. The place is beautiful but might be a little small for my mom. She is always on the go and I am concerned she might try to get my step dad to take her out all of the time. [Removed] was great! I meet with the nurse also great! Going to take mom to see what she thinks.

When a medical problem happened there was no one there to assess my mom. During the day med techs are available but not nurses and I am not happy about that. The staff need more training and we won't go back. Otherwise it was great. The food was wonderful, she made friends, and they kept her busy in activities. There just needs to be a nurse to assess any medical situation.

My mother moved here recently and things are going very well. We like the care and activities they offer. We chose Artesian Place because they were willing to work with us on the price. The people who work here are fabulous. I would recommend them.

She is very busy with all the activities with the other residents. The meals are very good and she is happy with the variety. I am glad to see her improving. We would highly recommend this community to other families for the outstanding care and great value for a loved one.

I thought that this community was very nice and they had a lot of great amenities that they offered there residents. I also noticed during my tour how well maintained and clean everything was kept. It was one of my top choices and actually fit perfect for my budget my husband just needed a lock down facility and more security with the doors for the memory care unit.
