Having to find a memory care place for our father was an emotional experience. I went to see a few places and found that Arden Courts had the best staff and the best layout. I loved their outdoor gardens and walking path. The guy we met with, [name removed], was very reassuring and the rest of the staff we met during our tour were very kind. We placed my dad in Ardern Courts of Hatboro after we were no longer able to care for him at home. Dad was able to walk and make his needs known when he entered the facility. Dad was there 3 weeks and declined quickly because they didn’t walk him, and they kept him in a wheelchair all day. Within 3 weeks' time he lost weight, became incontinent and developed bed sores. He was left unattended in the dining room, fell and broke his ribs and was hospitalized for days. We used that as our exit out to a new place. While at Arden Courts a family member visited him every day and provided his routine hygiene care because it was obviously not being done since he was wearing the same clothes, we put on him the night before and his diaper and pants were soaked through every night. Dad wound care medication could never be found when ask for, so his wound did not improve until we removed him from the facility. There is much more and yes, we complained daily but now live with regret.

I would definitely recommend they take a tour and meet the staff. Good coordination with hospice care and specialists too. friendly and quick entry for visits. I observed the staff show a lot of patience with my dad who was not easy in his dementia

They were the only place that accepted him so we had no choice. That said, we are happy with his care. It was a good experience.

Administrative staff does return calls, are hard to get in touch with and does not keep families informed. Reception, nurses, care workers, cleaners and kitchen staff are all incredible, hard working, kind and caring towards all residents, the only real reason we are staying with Arden. The price was raised to almost [fee removed] a month which is higher than we can afford and might have to make other arraignments.

Response from Arden Courts A ProMedica Memory Care Community in Warminster
October 18, 2024Hello, thank you for taking the time to leave a review; we'll be sure to pass your comments on to our team!
The staff and administration at Arden Court were amazing. The head nurse is so very caring along with her staff. The administration is very helpful navigating the water. My dear friend was well love by everyone who took care of her.

We gave the overall value for cost a 4 just because it is all expensive. However, we loved the outside space and the different sections (4 in all) which kept it feeling small. Based on the experience we have had with Arden Courts community, we would recommend them to others who are looking for their loved ones.

Be prepared to follow up heavily on promised services. When I do follow up with the staff, they respond very vaguely. It's mostly the doctors and nurses that work there on site that I'm having issues with. They're not communicating with or coordinating care with our outside doctors, which is negatively affecting my loved one's health and is extremely upsetting. Some of the staff is very helpful and nice. And other staff I don't have a lot of confidence in.

Our tour was very disappointing. The woman who led the tour was very scattered. I got the impression that she was new, although I’m not sure if she was or not. She forgot to show us a lot of things, and we had to ask her. She didn't even have a business card in the brochure they handed out.
The staff are very compassionate and they treat my father like a person who is sick, rather than just a body, even though he has problems with dementia. They've really been able to stabilize him so that he's comfortable, safe and not scared. That comes from a standpoint of him not knowing what's going on which then causes anxiety. I really appreciate the staff. They all know him and he knows them back, which I think is extraordinary, as he has trouble with meeting and remembering new people. So, the fact that they all speak to him and call him by name while he waves back at them when they walk by - I think that's great!

We had a really nice tour experience with Arden Courts but it was too expensive and the location would not have worked out for us since we wanted to be able to just stop in whenever.
For the area, this was our best choice. They had everything we had been looking for. There is a monthly calendar given to the family and residents to choose from each month. The food seems to be ok for my loved one.

We chose Arden Courts because of the scheduled daily activities provided, the way that it is laid out with 4 living pods and it is all on one story, it has more of a homey feeling to it. The value for the money we felt was also really good compared to others we looked into. A couple of the aids my dad has are really good and truly seem to care about their residents. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

Our mom was continually getting worse while living alone. We had two shifts of companions and were contemplating a night shift too. It was a financial nightmare! Mom was confused. God bless Arden Courts! Mom is very happy and very safe now. We have peace of mind now. The staff go out of their way to support our family. A+++ to Arden Courts!

My husband's dementia had progressed and I no longer could give him the care he required to keep him safe. The entire staff at Arden Court work together as a team that to give the residents the best possible care. My husband has been there a month and his physical and cognitive health have improved. I'm grateful for their dedication to making a warm welcoming happy atmosphere for my husband to live in.
