Arden Courts A ProMedica Memory Care Community in Kenwood

We cannot express the loving care our mother and “[name removed]” received at Arden. We really struggled with the decision to place Mom in memory care but we knew we needed more care than we could provide. The staff including the aides, activity directors, nurses and [name removed]as Executive Director could not have been more kind. My mom received excellent care and we always knew she was safe and well cared for. Everyone really became part of our family. If you need memory care for your loved one, we would highly recommend Arden Courts of Kenwood.

In addition to lovely homelike facilities and safe outdoor walking paths, I’ve been impressed with the genuine caring and attentiveness of the staff. From the director to the aids, everyone is willing to stop and chat, get to know our family, and see what’s on our minds. The transition to a memory care community, even for our very independent-minded mom, has turned out to be as pleasant as one could hope, because of the people working at Arden Courts.

The Arden Courts experience has been very good for our family. The team of aides and nurses do a good job of coordinating and communicating care. The facility is also clean and welcoming. We are grateful to have found this place for our parent.

Clean well kept environment. The staff is always friendly and seems to be engaged with the residents! The staff knows how difficult this is for families and they help and listen to questions and concerns! It really puts our minds at ease. Thank you

I brought my wife here 6 months ago and have had plenty of time to evaluate Arden Courts . Care is round the clock excellent. No matter when l come I'm greeted by caregivers and nurses that know my name and can always quickly give me updates on my wife's condition. They are daily providing various crafts , videos and activities to stimulate my wife's mind. Facilities are always clean and free from the smells one associates with senior care . All things considered I'm going with 5 out of 5 star rating.

I recently toured Arden Courts of Kenwood and was thoroughly impressed. The staff greeted me with warmth and professionalism, demonstrating a deep commitment to exceptional care. The facility is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed for memory care, creating a safe and comfortable environment. The range of activities and programs is outstanding, keeping residents engaged and active. I observed caregivers interacting with residents compassionately and respectfully, showing genuine care for their well-being. The secure outdoor area is a great feature, allowing residents to enjoy fresh air safely. In summary, Arden Courts of Kenwood excels in every aspect of resident care and support. I am confident this would be a wonderful place for my loved one when the time comes. Highly recommended.

This is a very special place as I know my mom is being well cared for and the staff are so patient and kind. This truly is a special community and we're glad my mom can get the care she needs in a safe, enriching home environment.

No one wants to place their loved one in a Memory Care facility, but if you must make that decision, choose Arden Courts. I cannot say enough kind words about the staff. They have been so caring and supportive as they guided me through some very difficult decisions. The nurses, aides, and other staff understand dementia which shows in their interactions with the residents. They want the residents to make it their home.

Arden Courts was recommended to me. My Dad has dementia and they specialize in that area.My Dad responded very well to his stay at Arden Courts, better than in the past.

We did not have a good experience. And it was not a good fit for my loved one.

Arden Courts has been such a God send for my mother. She is so happy and I am grateful. The staff ([name removed] and [name removed] specifically) have been so great! My wife and I are so happy with Arden Courts!

I give Arden Courts of Kenwood 5 stars on everything! The staff is really great. Very professional. My dad passed [date removed] and they were so good to work with.

If you have a loved one that has memory care needs, this is a community I would recommend. They are equipped and specialize in memory care needs for the residents. The staff communication with the family has been good. They have memory games and other activities for the residents to participate in. There are three meals a day for the residents to enjoy, along with snacks provided by the community.

All the residents seem to be happy. I have two loved ones here and the community went above and beyond to get them to be able to be together again. The staff is always in contact with the family with any questions, or concerns. They work hard to allow family visits with my loved ones.

They're very freindly. THe staff seemed to care and to want to help us. But in the nd, we foudn out that they did a lot of talking and not a lot of action. We found out they weren't giving her meds to her, they would just put them in her room and sh wasn't tking them. One of the staff told me they found a bunch of pills in her drawers, and I appreciate that honesty. I had a family member observe them set the meds on her dresser and leve. And then the more agitated she became, the less likely they were to come in to her room spend time with her.. At one point they were going to send her to a behavioral facility because they couldn't calm her down, and then that's all related to them not making sure she took her meds. They were going to send her awawy from us, andThat's wehn we pulled her out. Instead of observing her behavior and trying to come up with a solutin, their solution was just trying to ship her out. It was very disheartening. I really think there wer epeople there who cared and were trying to do their best for her. And when you can't get into a facility - we couldn't go in due to covid - you can't really learn where the breakdown is occurring.

This is a wonderful community to send my mother and we are very pleased. The rooms are small but more than enough, My mom was happy with the food. I would definitely recommend this community to others

9 months ago, was a very difficult time for our family, as we faced the reality that we needed to find a place to provide 24-hour care for my mom. We researched and visited many places. Once my dad spoke to the Arden Courts of Kenwood Administrative staff by phone, he felt peace for the first time about the possibility of having my mom move out of their home, where they had been for over 64 years. Upon taking a tour of the facility, and meeting additional staff, he knew it was the perfect place. For the past 7 months, my mom has been part of the Arden family, and yes, I mean family. All the staff have become like an extended family to us. They all display loving kindness, patience, friendliness, and understanding. They have not only been supportive to meet my mom’s needs and other resident’s needs with smiles and love, but also supportive to my dad’s emotional needs. Before restrictions from the current virus outbreak, my dad would visit my mom twice a day for several hours at each visit. He never witnessed one instance of unprofessional behavior toward any resident or fellow co-workers. Now that he can’t visit, he calls the staff twice a day to check on her and they are always courteous and reassuring that she is good. Sometimes various staff will even call him first to give him updates. They also have set aside time for him to speak with her by phone or video call. We love the variety of activities offered to the residents. We loved all the past family activities that we have been to. The photos online accurately reflect the clean and spacious residents’ rooms and community areas. They have a beautiful well-maintained and secured walking area outside for the residents. For those looking for a place to provide care for their loved one, my family and I highly recommend Arden Courts of Kenwood. Arden is very clean, spacious, secure and, most of all, full of loving staff. We are very grateful for their dedication, expertise, and care they give to my mom.
