Advisor care in house not that great but will do. My mother in law was in rehab nursing homes all last year as my mom was after hospital visit then rehab for a month. My story: moved in refrigerator did not work, no place for my insulin. I am diabetic. It took 3 days to get a new refrigerator. The floor was to be replaced, it was not. Housekeeping was to come every day, did not come for a week. Food was same thing from week to week. Changes made a lot from what was on the menu. Never could just get a salad. Based on the above, I would never recommend this place.

My stepmom (who will be 100 in April) was a resident of AHE2 for nearly 9 years. My stepmom chose this facility on her own and it served her well for 7.5 years. The part 18 months have seen a significant change in staffing (from Director on down) which has resulted in a degradation I felt. Too bad. The AdvisaCare medical staff was always very helpful and attentive. The current Director ([name removed] was always responsive to my inquiries. As my stepmom aged, the lack of a step-in shower in her room was a problem for her. As the price increased, some of the daily items that used to be done (making her bed) just seemed to fade away and were no longer being performed. Since Jan 2024, my stepmom they changed the time for meal delivery to 9 am, 1 pm and 7 pm. Not very

Our family had an in person tour with American House East and I believe that one was outdated and old feeling. It had a regular door to go out to the porch, and the porch had a railing with bars that did t allow for my dad to let his little dog out to do her business. It also offered small apartments with apartment sized appliances. The location available was a distance from the dining room.

American House East II really does have that home like setting to it, it is very warm, welcoming and overall has a great family like atmosphere to it. It seems like all the staff members and residents alike are more then willing to get to know everyone and meet new friends. The director is amazing and even took over the cooking for an entire day when the chef was out sick. Everyone from top to bottom - secretary, activities director, etc is just so amazing. There meals are great and the activities are really good. There is a wide variety of things to do, but also the residents have enough privacy to just relax on their own. We would absolutely recommend this community to other families and in fact we would even move in ourselves!

Overall I liked them very well. The facility was clean, and they had much bigger rooms than other places we toured. It was a bigger facility though, and therefore it would likely take longer for the staff to reach him if he needed assistance (based on where his room would have been located). I also wasn't a fan that they used subcontractors for aides. And with their charging system, you can only press the call button so many times at one price, and then it costs extra if you press the button additional times.

When we first toured everyone was just very welcoming, and the community is close to us which is one good thing. So far our loved one seems to be pretty happy with meals and dining service. Based on our experience with American House East we would absolutely recommend this community to other families

Our family had an in person tour and the tour experience was awesome. The lady who took us around [name removed] was just fantastic and super nice. However our loved one had a pet and the room they would of stayed in was in an inconvenient spot for when they would have to let the dog outside.

It was just okay. The people were friendly, and it did what it was supposed to do I guess. My loved one was there for a very short respite stay. The downsides were there was no TV or phone. And she was supposed to get therapy and didn't. But they had plenty of activities going on.

Our family had an in person tour, and we really liked the American House East 2, it was one of the top choices. However, we did not really care for the sales person at all, they were a little annoying but that is not what made our decision. Our loved ones toured a sister community and just liked that one much better.

I'm getting my loved one out as soon as possible. I believe that she almost died. I believe that was due to negligence of the nurse on staff. I had continually asked them to lock my loved one's door. They did not do so, so my mom fell and hit her head getting up trying to lock the door, and was bleeding from the brain. I feel like they lied to me. That person was let go after I confronted the facility. I was being charged for things they weren't doing. So I asked them to keep a paper in her room and sign off on things they were doing for her care. After that, funny, I'm not being overcharged anymore. It's an independent living facility, but they use Advisor Care as an optional nursing staff on-site. They have four nursing members that are very, very good with the tenants. But 2 or 3 decided they didn't like me, so I feel like they were negligent with my mom, and she almost died. The food is so bad that I went in to the office and complained, not just for my loved one, but for the other residents as well. It's cold, nasty food. It's ridiculous for the money that you pay. We ended up meal prepping for my loved one, and we put cameras in her room because we don't trust the staff. It has not been a good experience at all. I would never recommend American House to anybody. Hopefully the new management they switched to in the last couple of weeks will be better. But the staff I've had to deal with has been horrible. They also had bed bugs. They moved someone in from his apartment right next door to my mom who had bed bugs. There was another woman who screamed 24 hours a day. It's a horrible place. It's not a good place. They're renovating right now, tearing up the carpets, painting, making it a pretty place. But I feel like they're putting lipstick on a pig.
