The transition was well done. The facilities are lovely. Communications can be lacking. They are understaffed. Staff could be more discreet in public areas to not discuss tenants. It does seem safe and tenants are known. They are not terribly "hands on" unless an emergency.

It is kind of expensive for what they get here. The activities are not that great and they could definitely improve on the choices that the residents get for meals.

I tell friends about the structured days and the social interactions. Those two things are important for my mother and keep her moving every day.

Come on over for a visit! Everybody seems pretty happy here. Our family is very happy, and everything is going very easily. The staff is wonderful. They're very knowledgeable about everything, and they're very soft spoken and will do anything for you. They're apologetic if something isn't done to the utmost. Our loved one doesn't complain about the food. They have great activities. Our family just is so happy that he is so happy there and well taken care of. They're up-to-date on care services, and they handle the Covid situation very well. If they have anything like that, they adjust to it. And they still continue to have some activities with distancing and outside. They work around any problem that could exist.

Our family had a virtual tour and it was a fine experience.
We chose Addison Place because of the pricing, it was was all inclusive so you did not have to pay extra for anything like medications. They were good with communication. Some of the staff members really went above and beyond for our loved one. It was a good experience and I would recommend them.

Over the past almost year, there have been some very friendly people. And there have been some people that, had they been my only impression of the facility, I wouldn't have put my loved one in it. It's like a box of chocolates, you never know which you're going to get. It could be a reflection that they're stressed out due to Covid. When we've gone in to visit, the person who's there to screen you doesn't always acknowledge you, or people have been standing there talking blocking the front desk, and the staff doesn't move those people to help you sign in. It's just frustrating when that's happening multiple times. The overall facility appears to be clean, but I haven't been able to go to the dining room or other public areas. They're cleaning the apartments, but my loved one's chair hasn't been dusted sometimes, and the bathroom wasn't always clean when I visited. There's nothing glaringly bad here, but there's also not been anything I've been able to say "Oh that's so wonderful" about. Sometimes there's a lag in communication. I'd like to see them have an out of office response on emails that directs you to call elsewhere if you need immediate assistance with an issue. It's been tough with a loved one who has some memory issues. We can't always rely on her comments 100% in determining if something did or didn't happen. And then there's a lag in the staff getting back to you when you try to clear things up. That's just frustrating. I know it's a tough situation for everyone to handle right now during Covid. . .

The Addison Place is a beautiful facility. [name removed] was able to give me an on site tour and was so helpful with all my questions. My mom is very familiar with the geographical area and I think that would make her move a little easier. I believe this facility will be our first choice. I believe the rent is also affordable for my mom.

The care services vary day to day as well as the friendliness of the staff members. The activities also vary throughout the week especially now with COVID. Basically the thing we have been concerned with is that it seems like this community is understaffed at times even before COVID. We felt the ratio for staff members to each resident was way to low, and it was worse on the weekends. Some of the staff members were really good and communicated really good, but then some staff members who worked there just seemed to be rushing through things and didn't communicate that well. There were times we saw the staff members speak to each-other and the residents with their mask pulled down which concerned us. To be fair during the worst of COVID, from our understanding they had roughly speaking around ten confirmed cases, but only one loss. We would also received weekly reports during this time, which were very consistent and we appreciated the communication. Our loved one was in memory care, and there isn't a specific individual that just oversees the memory care side, they one an individual that oversees the entire community which we didn't really like. We had an incident over a weekend with a private aid who was taking care of another resident. We noticed she was handling that resident a little rough, so we spoke with the staff and told them our concerns. The private aid found out and came to our loved ones room and belittled us for minutes without an apology. We even reached out to the activities director and executive director about this issue and it was never addressed.

The community always seems very clean. The staff was very friendly. They really seemed to try to work with my mother and they seemed to make every effort to help her adjust to living here. Definitely a good value. I thought the staff were the nicest people. My mother has lived here long term, however my dad only ended up spending one night because of some health complications and the staff was very accommodating and compassionate. They ended up not charging us at all for his stay. We thought this was very kind.

I think that Atria is fabulous, my mother moved in first and loved it, then 2 months later my father moved in. The staff is wonderful, there are so many activities to participate in if your parent's are bored it's on them. Atria takes care of there residents, plans weekly trips. The apartments are great. I feel great knowing my parents are happy and safe.

It has not been a good experience for my mother since her move to this community. There is major room for improvement in this community. Just the other night I had to bus the table myself, because they are under staffed. The residents with went out hot water for 2 days. I'am not pleased with this community overall.

My mom has recently made the move into this community and I am very pleased with how things are going for her so far. The staff are very friendly and I am very comfortable with the quality of care they are providing her. She very much enjoys the dinning room experience with the other residents during meal time. They also have a great activity program that I am impressed with.

Mom stayed her for a short respite stay. I can not say enough about how great this community is. The staff are professional, attentive, welcoming and supportive. The food was very good and a high point for her. She participated in some of the large amount of daily activities they offer. The community is clean and I would recommend it.

My mother just moved into Mountain Laurel. Initially the marketing person and nurse were super friendly and really kind and understanding. Given it was such a stressful transition for me and mom, I really appreciated their reassurance. Creating a care plan was done a little too casually I thought, considering how much we pay for it. I don't think the nurse really did a thorough assessment. After the first weekend when my mom was kind of left alone to figure things out on her own, I stepped in and emailed the nurse. She called me and seemed a bit annoyed that I was requesting more help for mom. I patiently discussed the situation with her and we agreed to more care. I never received anything in writing. I think that would be helpful..
