The girls made made him very comfortable before his passing what you made me very grateful I really miss my dad but I’m very thankful he was very well taking care of
I'm pretty happy with them. They seem to be taking pretty good care of her. It's kept clean, and the staff is friendly. The food really isn't an issue for us, but it always looks good when I go. I would rate them pretty highly.
They make the process so easy, which is a huge help during these times. Lovely home with caring staff. Thank you to everyone here!

Kingwood, Texas, is car dependent. Seniors can expect to need a car for most errands. Transit options in Kingwood include bus routes. Seniors may receive fare discounts. Kingwood has limited biking infrastructure and is not very walkable.
Kingwood offers several health care providers for seniors wanting to be proactive about their health or for seniors seeking treatment for chronic conditions. The area has several hospitals, including Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital and St. Joseph Medical Center.
Newly suburban and heavily forested, Kingwood has come to be known as the “Livable Forest” due to its strong history in the lumber industry. ClubCorp’s Kingwood Country Club is the largest private club in Houston with over 3,300 members and features golf courses and clubhouses used in the filming of the movie “Tin Cup” starring Kevin Costner. There are also a handful of senior centers in the area, like SarahCare of Kingwood, where seniors can stay connected and active in their community.
Residential care homes are houses in residential neighborhoods that are equipped, adapted, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually between two and 10. Like assisted living communities, staff at care homes typically help residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and medication management. Although residential care homes vary significantly depending on the community, services usually include:
Kingwood offers a spacious, affordable retirement with all the conveniences of a thriving Houston suburb. Harris County’s largest planned community, Kingwood sits on the far north end of the Houston metro area, about a 40-minute drive from downtown. This attractive residential escape earns its nickname the “Livable Forest” with its densely wooded subdivisions and lush natural areas featuring trails and boardwalks along Lake Houston and the east fork of the San Jacinto River.
In Kingwood, residential care homes — sometimes called care homes, board and care homes, group homes, or personal care homes — are often houses in residential neighborhoods that are adapted, equipped, and staffed to care for a small number of residents, usually 10 or less. Similar to assisted living but in a smaller, more residential setting, these homes provide supervision, organized events, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). This means care homes can help with everyday routines but typically do not provide 24-hour skilled nursing assistance.
The cost of living in a care home depends largely on location. Since the homes are private residences, costs are tied to real estate value and therefore may vary greatly. However, the median monthly cost of assisted living in 2020 was about $4,800 in the Houston area and $4,000 in the state of Texas, according to Genworth.
