Caring Hands

Everything about Caring Hands is top notch, we could not of found a better place for our loved one. She is thriving there more then she ever did at home. The staff members are awesome and it just feels like home. She is much happier and social, they do not have a ton of activities due to the progression of the memory loss, but the staff still keep them engaged. They sit down at the tables and have conversations. There is a gazebo outside with a swing, a nice walking path and bird feeders. It is a really good place for those with moderate and advanced dementia or Alzheimer's. The nurses are so sweet, and if the residents want to and can they will help them fold the laundry.

The owner called me to confirm our appointment later in the week. We decided to visit sooner so my sister in law and I met with the owner Thursday afternoon. [Name removed] was so helpful with information and pointing out some things that we hadn't considered yet. His personal care home is super clean and pleasant. We toured the home and he showed me the private rooms that he has available right now. [Name removed] could answer all of our questions and he was very generous with his time. I like the neighborhood and the serenity of the area. My family and I are very new, too new to this process. We need to do more home visits before narrowing our choices but we were in an urgent situation, I would feel comfortable choosing Caring Hands.

My mother has been living in Caring Hands about a year. We looked at the institutions in the Kingwood area, and found this small, residential care home to be much better. It recently changed ownership, but most of the staff is stable, and they are spending money to upgrade the facility. The wife of the couple is a registered nurse, and monitors the healthcare closely. We've always found the cleanliness to be exceptional, the food seems freshly prepared, and the care for my mother has been great so far. Because it's small with only about 15 residents, they can provide a more personal touch. I highly recommend this place.

I was so happy to finally find the perfect place for my Mom. You can not find a more Caring,sweet and professional group of people.Mom really liked living there,she was given much love and attention right up to her passing.Mom had dementia and Caring Hands made our difficult time easier.I can't thank them enough except to give them an excellent review.

I’m a private caregiver and I cannot believe the disrespect this facility has. I feel so bad for my patient. They forget her medication all the time & don’t change her when she needs to be change when I’m away.

I was very excited about finding Caring Hands. They have an excellent sales pitch. My mother has been in their facility for six months. She is rapidly deteriorating since they keep them in wheelchairs. She's had 3 urinary tract infections since she's been there. I'm remembered by the saying things are seldom as they appear. My husband tried to negotiate the cash costs we pay monthly and the owner became so beligerant we had to pay the commission of $2500.00 to the senior advisor who helped us find this facility. The facility always smells is a strong sick urine odor as soon as walking into patients areas. I'm very disappointed in the owners not truthful as they insist they are.

My friend is doing very well since her move to this community. Everything is working out very well, and I'am pleased with all they have done for us. The community is very neat and tidy. She is being cared for very well. I'am very pleased with all they have done for us.

Everything here has been awesome. The staff is nice, sweet and very helpful with whatever grandma needs. Grandma really loves it here. The food is good and the community is always kept clean and neat. The nurses are awesome.

My mother has shown improvement since we moved her to the Caring Hands. The staff is friendly, accommodating and very hands on. I am happy with the comfortable feeling I have now knowing my mother is being well taken care of. I do not live close by but my sister sends me pictures of her and her expression says it all. She is very happy and so are we.

Caring Hands is a very very nice place for your loved ones the owners and staff take very good care of the residents and treat them as their own family member, my Mother was a resident at Caring Hands and I could not have felt that she was at the right place.The house is very clean, safe and the meals are quite tasty. I would recommend Caring Hands for your family member.

They have enough people working to provide individual care. Each peson has their own care giver. So one care giver does not have twenty people. Very personalized care. Activities are very flexible and different things happen at different times. The activities are not structured, so it allows the flexibility of doing them when they best suite the community. They have gazebos and lots of places to relax outside. The community is completely licensed and it really impressed me.
