Assisted Living
My mother has been living in Caring Hands about a year. We looked at the institutions in the Kingwood area, and found this small, residential care home to be much better. It recently changed ownership, but most of the staff is stable, and they are spending money to upgrade the facility. The wife of the couple is a registered nurse, and monitors the healthcare closely. We've always found the cleanliness to be exceptional, the food seems freshly prepared, and the care for my mother has been great so far. Because it's small with only about 15 residents, they can provide a more personal touch. I highly recommend this place.
I wanted to find a small Alzheimer's facility more like a home for my mother. Estia Care fit my criteria. It is in a lovely, very clean home with 9 residents. All of the residents seem to be happy and very well fed. They all feel like Estia Care is their home. The owner,[Removed] is very strict and makes sure that her people are taking good care of the residents. You can tell she really cares about them. [Removed] is very good about explaining everything, and the ladies who work for her are very sweet and caring. I am extremely impressed with the care my mother has been receiving since I moved her in.
I have a 10+ year history with A Place for Mom, first starting with counselor [name removed] who helped me find a place to care for my grandmother in Washington DC, to finding a place for my mother in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Your guidance has not failed me. I recommend Fountainwood at Lake Houston. Fast forward to just a few weeks ago. Since moving my mother here, we have been extremely impressed with the whole team, including the outside therapy and medical groups. In addition, the level of care and warm reception shown to my mother has met a very high standard. My mother was an Ambassador at the other two assisted living homes in Pittsburgh and has a keen sense of what is working well and what is not. The most recent facility is highly recognized and respected, by you too. I believe that our mother has not yet experienced all that Fountainwood at Lake Houston has to offer, but our family looks forward, with anticipation, to the future. The best is still in front of us.
