Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to make sure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as assistance with ADLs for the resident, assessing the extent of residents problems and needs, recreational and social activities that are suitable, desirable, and important to the resident s well-being, and dietary needs. Public assistance is available through Medicaid State Plan. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include monitor blood sugar levels, administer routine medications, and staff may self administer medications under licensed staff supervision.
