I am thoroughly happy as a member of this community. The location is wonderful and awe enjoy excellent friendships. We are more than comfortable with excellent amenities.
We relocated two years ago from the "up state" to the Lakes at Litchfield. The location is wonderful and the weather is very pleasant. It was very easy for us to begin to enjoy the beautiful campus and getting to meet a great group of people. The staff is excellent and truly cares for the residents. We do have all the things of home; especially the food service in our dining room.
Time have been a little tough in 2021. However the staff although extremely short handed, has been exceptional! Residents are never lacking necessary support and for the most part, we are a family seeing our way through these timer together.
The Lakes at Litchfield is first of all a caring community. We are very much a family here, people are welcoming and interested in each other. The facilities are first class bath in the independent living and care services areas. The management and team care very much for all residents and show it every day.
Even as I write-the lawn new are blowing leaves into piles to be picked up and taken away so the grounds can be pristine clean. Having lived for 20 years in a first class retirement community in Virginia and moving only upon the death of my husband and wanting to be near my children, did I come to the "Lakes". It livened out to be top notch in all aspects appearance, dining, activities, friendliness, housekeeping, and maintenance.

Our community is very close knit. When my husband passed away the support of the people was amazing. We aren't merely residents we are family.
I have lived in this community since September 2012. My husband and I were invited to the grand opening and assumed the that we would eventually move here. Unfortunately he dies in 2010 but I still decided that it was the best place for me-and it is! I have been very happy here. This is a friendly, safe community and the food is great. What more do you want?!!
My husband and I moved into Lakes at Litchfield 4 1/2 years ago and were immediately welcome by this warm and friendly community. We settled into a comfortable cottage with a nice yard for our dog and rooms to plant some seasonal plants. As a lifelong gardener, new physically limited, it has delightful to have regular landscape care. House cleaning, home repairs and maintenance are no long a concern. This was especially welcome after the death of my husband not long after our move. One of the best things about life at "The Lakes" is dining. Our gifted chef offers a variety of delicious options with attractive presentation. We also have an endless list of activities and opportunities for social interactions-games, speakers, musical entertainment and off campus outings-so important during this pandemic! We have been so blessed to have a safe way to avoid the social isolation so many older adults have suffered. Good friends, good food, good fun! What's not to love!
My mother was not happy about moving to the Lakes a few years ago but within a short time became accustomed and blended in. She soon made new friends and is no happier than she ever would have been living alone.
It is a warm and friendly community. The dining room staff learns your name with your first visit and is very accommodating with special requests. The social options are varied to meet everyone's preferences and changed from month to month. The L:akes will always be my first choice for a senior living community.
I've lived here several years now and know I made the right choice in coming here. My apartment is roomy and all the commons areas are nice. The landscaping is nice and I love all the trees and courtyard. A wise decision!
Great place, very well run.
The community is very inviting and looks lovely. The staff are amazing! I can't say enough about he care they provide. They become your family. I see everyday the love and care they have for my father! The care starts with the initial visit to see where you want your loved one to reside. The care they have as they guide you make a world of difference. Nurses, care staff, and everyone about that make this community a home!
The Lakes at Litchfield is a wonderful place to live in retirement years. We have a full compliment of services for independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care. Staff members are caring and want to keep us happy. We have a wide variety of programs on and off campus including entertainment, lectures, games, and wellness programs. Our dining services are excellent! I have already recommended living at The Lakes at Litchfield.
I would like to take this opportunity to recognize [name removed] Commitment to Excellence. My wife and I felt that she went above and beyond in assisting us in getting my sister out of [name removed]. We were trying to take a quick vacation to visit Army friends but the timing was tight and after [name removed] “missed a date” we had to cancel, [name removed] offered to pick her up and bring her to the Lakes. Thank you for having a professional staff and we have been impressed with the friendliness of all we have dealt with these past couple of days. Looking forward to a successful stay for my sister.

I recently moved into Lakes at Litchfield. It was a great experience. The people at L@L and the people they recommended were all friendly and knowledgeable. Now that I am here, I believe it was the best move I could have made--everything you might want or need is available. No regrets on the decision to leave [community name removed] and move to the Lakes.

Just returned from a cross country trip to visit my close relative now living at The Lakes at Litchfield an independent living Senior Community near Litchfield Beach that has step up care as needed to assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care. My Aunt and Uncle live in Independent living. I was so impressed with the Facility / Staff and other Residents I met that I had to tell someone about it. Kinda busy, but concise specifics as to why I am so impressed:: They are Busy Busy Busy 75 year olds with all kinds of activities, social, health sessions, physical training, exercise / yoga classes etc The food we were served was awesome, but they had to deliver since no visitors in really nice dining room. and their dining room is really great. I was so worried about their adjusting and uncomfortable not knowing ............but I am now so relieved knowing both HOW HAPPY THEY ARE AND HOW WELL THEY ARE BEING "CARED" for. Oh and it does not hurt that they are about a half mile from beautiful beaches.
