I would rate all categories as 5's. My sister-in-law [name removed] was at Anderson Oaks for about a year and a half until she passed. We found the facility to take excellent care. [name removed] was always well cared for, clean, and always dressed in clean clothes. Her hair and nails were cared for. Meals seemed fine. Activities were enjoyed by the patients. The staff was always friendly and we were happy that there was consistent staffing...not a lot of turnover. There was a lovely courtyard where we could spend some outdoor time. My only complaint was one that seems to be an issue in all nursing homes. That would be clothing that seemed to go missing. Often [name removed] would be dresses in clothes that weren't hers. Anderson Oaks is not the newest facility in the area, but we found it to cover all needs while showing compassionate care.

While my brother did not want to be there, my experiences when I visited him regularly were positive. The one issue my brother complained about was one of the residents kept coming into his room and sometimes undressed herself and stood in the doorway so he couldn't get out. As far as activities went, he did not participate so I have nothing to offer there. The staff were always courteous. I saw where the staff did things for the residents to keep them engaged, especially at holiday time. If I had a situation where I needed a place for someone I would consider Anderson Oaks.

Our mother has been living at her new home in Anderson Oaks for 4 months now and it has been an awesome experience. The staff are all very attentive, listen to your concerns and act on them. They are never too busy to assist with whatever the needs of the residents are in order to make them comfortable. Our mother went in hesitantly, but has grown to love the staff, has made new friends and even now goes on trips to Walmart and out to lunch with the group. All Staff members are wonderful, always trying to engage her in activities and events. The peace of mind that Anderson Oaks has provided for my brother and I are priceless. She had been living alone and we no longer are concerned as to whether or not she has eaten or taken her medications and whether her living alone and could no longer drive was affecting her mental health. We could not be happier with the christian, family atmosphere that Anderson Oaks provides and are very thankful for them.

My mother in law has been in this facility for 2 years on the memory care hall. We are very pleased with the facility, staff and physicians. She calls this her home and they are her family. Best move we ever made. Thanks Anderson Oaks and staff.

They are very passionate towards the residents. The community does a great job with caring for the residents with memory care concerns. My loved one seems very happy and content here. Some of the activities available include: birthday parties, ice cream socials, themed parties, religious activities, music and more for the residents to participate in. It would be nice to see the residents be able to have more access in the garden area of the community.

The only concern is, sometimes they are short-staffed. My loved one likes the food, and has become more engaged with activities.

I thought that everyone was very helpful and they always answered any questions I had. They let us know when they had any issues regarding covid immediately - they kept us well informed of anything going on inside of the facility. My loved one was only here for 2 months but we felt comfortable that he was in a good place. We would certainly recommend Anderson Oaks to others looking.

When we showed up for our tour we knew it was absolutely not the right choice. When you walk in to the facility it looks more like a hospital and just very institutional.
This would be a good place to send your loved one for memory care. The staff was very cooperative and took good care of my loved one. If there was any concern that came up the staff was quick to respond to my concerns.

I would recommend this community to others for their loved ones. From the admin down they seem to be very caring towards my loved one and other residents. I feel my loved one cares about the staff and feels that they are like family. The setting is beautiful, with lots of flowers, and a wonderful courtyard. There is always staff with the residents when outside. It is a very nice place.

This is the best Assisted Living in the Myrtle Beach/Conway area by a longshot. It's very clean with no odors, the staff is very compassionate and professional, yet very approachable and easy to talk to. We have had multiple family members/friends live there and would recommend it to anybody.

This is a lovely facility! Really nice living, dinning, activity and garden spaces. They have taken extra security precautions because of the location of building being close to active street.

We toured this community for my mother in law, and her needs. The tour went well. Everyone was kind, and friendly to my family, and I. The community looked nice, and everything was well-kept. The staff we met was kind, and helpful. Our questions were answered. There were many factors that played into where to move my mother in law to for her needs. We did find another community that met our needs better, but our tour of this community went well.

My mother has recently moved into this community and I have no complaints of how things are going for her so far. The staff are friendly and I am comfortable with the care they are providing her. She has had no problems with the meals and enjoys participating in a few of the activities they have from time to time with the other residents. I could not have picked a better place for my mom to live and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

A Place for Mom has scored Anderson Oaks Assisted Living 9.7 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
