I am very pleased. The interaction with the staff is very good. My loved one loves the food. We picked this community because,of the convience for my family, and I was really impressed. I would recommend to other families. They offer activities such as; Bridge, Bingo, happy hour and they have a beauty shop.

Many things changed when then facility manager left. It went from bad to worse shortly after my dad passed. The who place dropped to an overall 2. It was never very clean but I have been been shown recent pictures of roaches in rooms and problems with several memory care patients having bedbugs. Most of permanent staff left and there were a lot of Temps who don't really care about the residents. My dad's needs were met but I know he was not getting showers like he should have. Not to mention that he contracted Covid from the facility and it killed him. The food was never anything to write home about. My dad's main gripe was breakfast. Grits, which he didn't like, eggs, which he couldn't eat, and toast, which was all he could eat. Lunch and dinner weren't great but I heard that it has gone way down. They used to have snacks in the afternoon, no more. When [name removed] was the Activity manager he did great things with the residents. They went on trips 2 xs monthly to museums, restaurants the mall, even the festival of lights. He played games...all kinds of things. Since he left, it is my understanding they don't do anything. One of the reasons why my dad was there was because of the cost of care. His room was a little 12 ft x 12 ft. for [fee removed] monthly but his care was only [fee removed] If my dad was still alive I would have moved him out of there months ago. I would not recommend it to anyone, especially someone who cannot advocate for themselves.

After living independently for 80 years, we recently moved my uncle to Summerville. The staff has been so accommodating and patient with the transition. When looking for a place for a family member to join, the most important thing is to have staff that makes the place feel like home and that is exactly what sets Cypress apart from others. They have so many activities for everyone and do an excellent job including the residents.
