Before a resident is accepted, they must go through a service plan screening to ensure their needs are going to be met. This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as recreational and social activities that are suitable, desirable, and important to the resident s well-being, dietary needs, requirements and arrangements for visits by or to physicians or other authorized health providers, and assistance with ADLs for the resident. This type of community is required to offer a number of services. These include assistance with ADLs, transportation, medication assistance, and at least one structured recreation activity each day.
