Assisted Living
I sensed a real concern by the staff for the people under their care. While there may have been internal (employee/employer) issues, as there may be in any work environment, it never manifested itself in my presence. In my opinion, employees are acting professionally in that regard. As for the facility, it was wonderful, above what I expected to find.
I found them easy to work with and appreciated true extra effort and caring. The "4" ratings were due to a couple of staff not being on site and available several times, but believe issues was resolved when they left; the food sometimes not being as appealing as it could have been, although normally pretty tasty and portions were ample; activities could have been a little more challenging, encouraging walks outside for example. Overall, it was a good, safe, friendly environment for my mother even though she was lonesome, not active, and could have used Moe interaction and encouragement to get out of her "headspace" at times.
My mother felt right at home from the day she moved in. The ladies in the activity room and [name removed] the Activity Director welcomed her with open arms. Mom feels that God picked the place for her to be because of the Christian programs that they offer and the wonderful friends that she can fellowship with. We feel very blessed to have mom at Riverbend.
