Memory Care
The staff really provided my nephew and his wife the best possible support during my sister's passing. I can't say enough positive things about the staff's compassion and willingness to go beyond expectations. I hope that they are still in operation when and if I need a place.
Silver Creek & Arbors has a super and sweet staff, the care is super, I just wish it was closer, but it is still a great location that is easy to get to. They have great outdoor spaces, there's plenty for my loved one to do, but she can also be in her room as well with the TV and computer. It's like her whole house is in one room! She has a phone she can use to call friends, and she is also able to call the staff quickly. She fell recently and within 3 minutes after falling, the staff was there, she couldn't believe how fast they were! The doctor even checked her out after she fell and started her on rehab for her knee, and the rehabilitation staff is great. As far as other things they keep track of her blood sugar 3 times a day, she bathes regularly, and is able to get her hair done, and was able to get things like a trim as needed. They know what they're doing there, and I think it's the best place she could possibly be in.
We are so lucky to have found Oak Point. They truly cared for my Mom, and did everything they could to make her comfortable. Many place say they do memory care and we found out very few actullay do. These other places want to over medicate to the point of coma. And then these other places move out the patients they deem as too much. Oak Point staff walked hand in hand with us down the last few difficult months, on meds, care, food, everything. They were truly angels on earth and I thank the lord we found them.
