We are so lucky to have found Oak Point. They truly cared for my Mom, and did everything they could to make her comfortable. Many place say they do memory care and we found out very few actullay do. These other places want to over medicate to the point of coma. And then these other places move out the patients they deem as too much. Oak Point staff walked hand in hand with us down the last few difficult months, on meds, care, food, everything. They were truly angels on earth and I thank the lord we found them.

What stuck out about Oak Pointe of Neosho over other places was the room size. Private apartment, large, open community areas and two secure courtyards. The staff is very friendly and positive. I really like them and feel close to them.

June 8, 2024Thank you for your 5-star review! Our wide range of noteworthy services and amenities is designed to ensure senior living residents enjoy a peaceful and worry-free lifestyle. When my mom was first placed in this facility everything was great. Then the COVID virus hit hard. My mom survived it well. She was asymptomatic. I wasn't allowed to see how she was in her room. I worked many years in similar facilities. I knew that this company was going from a 5 star rating to a 1star. My mom went "downhill after her first major fall.". I was allowed to spend special time with her during her hospital visits. The last time I was with her during hospice time, she had dry rotting teeth and broken down skin from not receiving the needed 2 hour monitoring care. Yes. There were caregivers that were excellent when they were there for my mom. I still pray for and to my mom hoping that she is at peace and that the pain has left her.

Our experience has been great! The staff has really made her feel welcome. She really enjoys all of the creative activities they come up with. Especially the outings outside of the center they have an opportunity to do. Also, if the menu does not appeal for that day, they give the resident alternative options.

We have been impressed with staff when speaking to them about my loved one. They are very knowledgeable. My family that has visited my loved one has also been impressed with the staff and community. They are able to accommodate the family and our loved one's requests. All the meals, activities, care, the apartment, utilities, housekeeping, and laundry are included in the monthly fee.

Oak Pointe had a very welcoming and home-like atmosphere. The physical layout of the memory care section was appealing. All rooms opened onto a central area so all residents are visible to the staff at all times. [Name removed] was very helpful and clearly communicated what services are available.

September 30, 2019Thank appreciate you sharing your experience with us. Oak Pointe of Neosho
My dad was in a home in Joplin when we found out that he would need help with memory care so we were recommended to come here. So far it’s been wonderful. The only issue I’ve had is the communication between me and the staff has been difficult. I requested that my father have no visitors other than myself and that has yet to happen. There were some issues with cleaning but that’s since been remedied. The staff is doing what they can to help, answering any questions they can, but I still feel like my dad is lacking the care he needs. The food is good and there’s plenty of it each day, it seems pretty nutritious as well. The cleaning staff keeps things tidy and clean and they really work with my dad to make sure they get his room taken care of; it just gets difficult on the weekends when they aren’t’ available. There are a lot of activities to keep everyone busy like Walmart outings, going to the museum and the YMCA. They even took my dad to a local elementary school where he got to read to third graders. All of the residents are very interactive with each other, which is nice because otherwise my dad would isolate himself. I think overall, the price paid is very fair for the things they offer. I’ve already recommended this place to several people. I think if the parts that I’ve been having issues with are able to be taken care of, this place would be a 5.

This is a very nice new community. The staff is great and they were able to help me with last minute decisions when it came to my mom's care. The community is very clean. The food seems to be good and my mom is happy with it. They have field trips and my mom was able to get out to a painting class that she enjoyed. I would highly recommend this for great care.
