Memory Care
I can only comment about the memory unit. Those girls worked hard to maintain order and keep up. I thought to myself a few times that however much money they are making probably isn't enough. It takes a special person to that job.
This is a fantastic community, my father is doing well here. He loves the place and we are satisfied. A place for mom was amazing with all they help they provided. My sister says they are providing him with great care. We are pleased with everything they have done for us.
Quality of care - the doctor that was chosen is a bit lax & not as organized as we would like. [name removed] has been helpful with dealing with the dr & keeping on top of meds & changes. We understand its a new facility & everyone needs to get their rhythm. The menu has been the same for months with a daily special offered. The server we have had is in need of appropriate training. Very inefficient & confused. Sweet girl though. Hopefully she will learn the ropes in the next few months. She is inexperienced & needs to work beside an experienced server. The first meal we ate with the parents was amazing. Delicious & professionally plated. A month or so later, not so much. Activities - they aren't participating. More expensive that the last residence they were in (independent living) and offers a slight bit more. Yes I would recommend this community to others- the base staff is friendly, attentive, helpful & kind. There is a high volume of camaraderie amongst the residents. They walk the halls in groups going to & from their activities smiling & chatting. They have a huge end to end table in the dining room that seats about 20+ people & they all sit together. Even the in-laws who are not that social.
