Brookdale Middleton Century Avenue
5.0

Thrilled with the care and attention my Mother received while at this Brookdale. It felt like I was pet of a family! The food is wonderful and I enjoyed that when visiting. They also have fun activities for residents and their family members. Thanks for all you did and I would highly suggest anyone to move their loved one into their community.

Milestone Senior Living Stoughton

The staff that is there are wonderful, they have done a great job given the circumstances but there is a high turnover rate outside of the day to day staff. The director is trying her best, but communication with the staff and families has started to lack. The life enrichment coordinator is fantastic and wonderful, she wears many hats there. We want them to improve, once stability is provided everything will fall into place.

The Ridge at Madison
5.0

My grandmother loves The Ridge at Madison! My visits are always uplifting. Staff is informative, compassionate, and empathic to my grandma's needs. She tells me every visit how she feels at home and welcomed there! Management takes a team approach with staff to effectively engage them in excellent care strategies.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a facility that houses at least two persons who have no familial ties to the administrator. A nursing home facility offers its occupants around-the-clock care administered by registered nurses. These caregivers offer healthcare services for seniors who cannot care for themselves.

Nursing homes are a convenient and easy living option for individuals 65 years and above, however nursing homes will usually take in individuals 55 and older which is for other senior care types. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include special care services not included in the facility’s Medicaid payment, a private room, unless medically needed, and personal clothing. Nursing homes are required to provide room and bed maintenance services, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), medically-related social services, and a professionallly directed program of activities to residents. Often times seniors might select to live in a nursing home over another type of facility due to a physical or mental impairment that prevents them from easily accomplishing their standard of living. Many occupants of nursing homes are individuals with behavioral difficulties, which can consist of a tendency to wander, verbal outbursts, or resisting care. A large number of residents are single women with smaller social support groups, and almost half of nursing home residents are older than the age of 85.
